"For Liberty" movie premiere at Iowa theater

I'd love to give a monetary contribution, but I am planning on flying into Iowa and help to organize the event.. which will be a considerable expense for me, when considering flight, stay, and transportation.
I consider your effort a serious contribution.

+ rep when I can.

Just received our first donation! I will be contributing myself within the next day or two, along with flying in to Iowa to help organize the event.

We will need at least a few others to volunteer for the night of the event. Would anyone be willing to volunteer? The event would ideally be some time between Aug 6 and Aug 10th.

I chipped in..think is great idea..PLEASE post the chip-in site in more places on the thread. This wwould be so great if Ron actually came, too!! But even if not, if you could get it in the paper under free events, and maybe invite some people from nursing homes (they are always looking for events to bring seniors to) etc.

If the first showing goes well, maybe we could reproduce this in other major cities in Iowa.

wish you the best of luck, and please keep us updated. Have you spoke to the campaign about maybe having Ron do a meet and greet at a showing or two?

Steve Bierfeldt and said he was going to read through this thread then get in touch with me.

Also, thanks for chipping in, Crickett! I added a link to my signature, and edited most of my previous posts with the chip-in link.

I'd be happy to conduct a robocall advertising the event among whatever demographic and in whatever geographical area you want based on the Iowa voter database. All I'd need is a wave file and I could give you a cost estimate based on the message length. Just frame the message as non-commercial so telemarketing rules do not apply.

For anyone considering robocalls in the future, I highly recommend Dynamic Interactive. The owner is a Ron Paul supporter [deleted by rp08orbust]. They bill in tenths of a second. So a 30-second message would cost at most $0.0125 per number dialed (probably a lot less, because you are not charged for non-answers and the robocalls can hang up on answering machines if you want).

Fantastic! Thanks for the help. We could greatly benefit from this. We could do a mass outreach via a robo-call, in addition to making some personal calls as well.

Just a thought - there are a few drive-in movie places still in operation in Iowa. It might be even cooler to have the movie at a drive-in place, which also allows you to extend more invitations.

bump. I'll likely post an update tomorrow after I hear from Ani or Steve regarding Dr. Paul's availability.

Sounds like a great idea!!I'm sure I could find some time to volunteer to this, I live about 5 miles from the theater in Pella. Just let me know what you need.

Fantastic news! I was fearing that it may be difficult to find people within driving distance of Pella to help out with this. I've sent a PM.

Good thought, however a drive-in may not be conducive to attracting press as the event would at a theater. Regarding being able to invite more than 340 guests, we will likely have two showings of the film - one in the main hall (340 seats), and one in a banquet hall. The rental fee includes the entire facility.
