Cellphone data obtained by Donald Trump's legal team appears to contradict Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis' testimony about an alleged improper relationship with special prosecutor Nathan Wade. Willis faces allegations that the alleged affair with Wade and his appointment to the Georgia election interference case financially benefited her.

Funny thing is today this new evidence is celebrated. Years ago I remember being warned that the collection of private phone records and texts was illegal and would be used against you whenever they wanted to pull the trigger.
Furthermore, with the corruption in our judicial system, I would think that in the future, any records of phone interaction that the powers that be do not want made known to the public will mysteriously not be found.

I would think that's the case today. In which case this is all theater, designed to set us up for something.

So let's say this effort by Trump's lawyers works, because I think it may. The prosecutor and DA are removed from the case. How does that help Trump? A new prosecutor would be assigned or the case would be moved to a different court. It seems pointless, but a lot of what Trump does is pointless I guess.

They can just switch venues.

It took a corrupt and ardently anti-Trump DA in the "blue"-est county in Georgia using a novel application of RICO just to bring this case at all. If the Fulton county DA's office is forced to recuse itself because of Fani Willis' shenanigans (which appears to be possible, and perhaps even likely), what other DA in "red" (or even "purple") Georgia do you imagine is going to want to take up the case?

At around 13:05 in this video you see why it might not be so easy to just move this case if Fani is disqualified. (interview coming from the former D.A. of Fulton County, which starts at the 9 minute mark)

The best chance she has to see the outcome she wants, is to recuse herself, and let her office take over the case while she does her best to stay out of it. Then again, if she committed perjury, this case may suddenly end up being the last thing on her mind.

I really think it's a very slim chance that any other county in Georgia will touch this case. Maybe DeKalb. But that would be moving the case from the most corrupt county in this state, to the second-most-corrupt. I guess we could find out who's been sleeping with who there, as well.

Former Democrat Governor of GA Roy Barnes was called to the stand and asked why he turned down Fani's request to be made special prosecutor, and his reply was basically that his law practice would be ruined in this state if he took on Trump. (Roy Barnes is the guy who had the guts to remove the confederate battle emblem from the old GA flag, and even *he* doesn't want to touch this with a 10-foot pole). This isn't New York.

Judge rules Nathan Wade's attorney must take the stand again in Trump election case

A Fulton County judge has ruled that special prosecutor Nathan Wade's former law partner and divorce attorney, Terrence Bradley, must retake the stand in former President Donald Trump's Georgia election interference case to testify on topics not covered by attorney-client privilege, sources familiar with the matter confirmed to ABC News.

Following a meeting with Bradley on Monday, Judge Scott McAfee notified attorneys in the case via email that some communications between Wade and Bradley do not fall under attorney-client confidentiality, the sources said.

Michael Roman and several other co-defendants in Trump's election case are seeking Willis' disqualification from the case on the grounds that she benefited financially from a "personal, romantic relationship" with Wade, who she hired for the case.

Willis and Wade have admitted to the relationship but said it "does not amount to a disqualifying conflict of interest" and that the relationship "has never involved direct or indirect financial benefit to District Attorney Willis."

The defense contends that Bradley has evidence that Wade and Willis' relationship began before Wade was hired, which would contradict what Willis and Wade told the court. Bradley largely declined to answer questions from the defense during a Feb. 15 hearing on the matter, citing attorney-client privilege.

His return to the stand could potentially lead to significant revelations as the defense continues its effort to disqualify Willis from the election case and have the charges dismissed.

Bradley could be required to testify as early as Tuesday.

Trump and 18 others pleaded not guilty in August to all charges in a sweeping racketeering indictment for alleged efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election in the state of Georgia. Four defendants subsequently took plea deals in exchange for agreeing to testify against other defendants.

The former president has blasted the district attorney's investigation as being politically motivated.

The tax payers that spent their tax dollars on this case should be very happy with the results!

@TheLeadAttorney gives his expert analysis of the Fulton Count District Attorney Fani Willis, Donald Trump situation to me and @AVtothe7thpower!

Context: Over the course of an extraordinary two-day evidentiary hearing last week, the personal lives of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and one of her top deputies were dissected in full public view. A gaggle of defense attorneys, who collectively represented nine of the remaining 15 defendants in Willis’ marquee election interference case, took turns scrutinizing the past romantic relationship between Willis and special prosecutor Nathan Wade for evidence of impropriety. Their goal was to convince Fulton Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee that the two prosecutors had a conflict of interest in the case that warranted removing the entire Fulton DA’s office from the prosecution. The hearing frequently meandered into telenovela terrain, but there were several notable developments that could shape how McAfee ultimately rules on the matter. Willis and Wade each presented similar timelines in their testimony. Wade said their romantic relationship began “around March” 2022 —months after he was hired to work on the case — while the DA said “between February and April” of that year. That gels with the timeline Wade included in a sworn affidavit attached to a recent court filing from the DA’s office. Ashleigh Merchant, the defense attorney who first raised the impropriety allegations against Willis, indicated that Terrence Bradley, a former law partner of Wade’s who once represented him in his divorce case, could also provide testimony that counters Willis and Wade’s relationship timeline.

A Georgia judge will hear a motion to disqualify the top prosecutor seeking a conviction against Donald Trump and his co-defendants in their election interference case. A defense attorney is asking the judge to dismiss the indictment and remove Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis from the case after allegations of an “inappropriate relationship” with special prosecutor Nathan Wade surfaced in January.

Probably won't be dismissed. But she might be disqualified. The question is whether any other DA's office in Georgia will (or can) pick up the case.
