FaceBook to stifile political activism

??? So, what is FB going to do? That article reads like an ad for their alternative platform.

DEEPLY misleading headline. I don't see anything in the story that supports the headline. Retardo-Journalism

Looking on the bright side: We can use this as an opportunity to join Freedom Torch and use it to spread the Ron Paul message.

Did anyone read whole article? And did anyone visited their conservative alternative for FB h xxp://www.freedomtorch.com/? They have 16K members and a poll on front page about favourite candidate for GOP nomination. Guess what - there is no Ron Paul there. And they have Paul Ryan, and Pavlenty, and Huckabee and Trump, even Alan West?!

this article has nothing to do with Facebook stifling political activism. the author is clearly clueless about how Facebook works and the fact that groups have been changed across the board. all the features he talks about losing are now what pages are used for. he's just using this to bash the facebook exec's for supporting obama more than arguing his case that facebook is actually getting into controlling political speech.

dood, don't joke. Google ate my soul. hasn't it gotten you yet? it's watching....everywhere.

LMAO i kno rite?

eyes everywhere means ears everywhere tho, and those are the ears we need to feed. I'm already on whatever lists they put us on, so now I'm just using it to connect to the intarwebz with freedomz love

uhm, they have had it for awhile now. and guess what, the facial -> name database resides with a 3rd party company in israel.
Doesn't surprise me.The pentagon funded some recent university research into Facebook photo recognition technology

Don't post anything you wouldn't tell Obama (and the NSA) to his face. problem solved.
You completely miss the point of Facebook facial recognition and why the spy networks exist. It is a map of your entire circle of friends, acquaintances , and family. Using government spy networks to organize protests is not a very smart thing to continue as it makes it easier for them to infiltrate, sabotage, and arrest protestors .

Anyone see the ToS of the site they plugged? I lol'd.
Such a "free" place.
Also, they just may share your info with third parties. Just cause.
