FaceBook to stifile political activism

Intelligence agencies and services in 4000 years of continuous operations have found no better cryptology than ciphers. Simple ciphers are often passed in the clear. Cat means helicopter, crocodile means jet, fruitcake means bridge, whatever. All you have to do is practice the same opsec you do in real life, and treat social networks as "in the clear."

If you are an activist Ron Paul supporter, you are already on the list, sorry to tell you. If you post to RonPaulForums, you are already on the list. I know it comes as a shock.

Intelligence analysts and operatives accept certain risks as the cost of doing business. Opsec and Commsec practices can mitigate those risks, but failing to take the risks will not accomplish the mission, and getting paralyzed from "risk assessment overload" in the middle of an op will get you killed.

Facebook and G+ is more about recognizing the risks and planning for risk mitigation. These are tools that we must take advantage of if we are to restore the Republic.

I, for one, and willing to take that risk.
Do you not understand what I said before? I have not willingly given any information of my where abouts on this website or other social networks when it comes to protest or campaign events.

You have Arizona in your profile. That can be narrowed against the list of known Ron Paul supporters in Arizona. Federal security notices to your ISP can compare access times amongst Arizona Ron Paul supporters with posting times on here, and that should put you down to a group of about 10 or so, which can easily be narrowed to one through close surveillance.

-_- facepalm. You do understand that I said clearly I do not post any information about my attending of any campaign events or protests? If I did I would use proxies...............................DUH

Right right right. You can tell me that again and again, but I will disagree with you because I know that there are ways to organize protests without using Facebook and without computers.

Ways which intelligence services have been been managing to crack for thousands of years.

Then don't use them. The Internet is our primary advantage over the status quo establishment. Cutting your own vocal cords to spite your government is worse than cutting off your own nose to spite your face. Being careful is a good thing. Paranoia is counterproductive.
Good attempt at painting me as "paranoid" when I've presented facts about Facebook and Google.

Then don't use them. That's all I've ever said. I use them because there is nothing about me that is not already in an NSA file somewhere. Others on here choose to accept the risks in order to put Ron Paul into the White House. KNOWING the risks is a good thing. Choosing to reject or accept the risk is a personal choice. Freaking out and making like anybody willing to use those services to promote liberty is dumb "people need to stop using Facebook and Google who intend to promote liberty." is more than counterproductive, it is insulting.

freedomtorch hates ron paul.

with posts like : Ron Paul is a LEFTIST! and "The Marks of a Ron Paul Fanatic", the sites creator is no friend to the RP movement
