okay okay okay... somebody post the information on the transmission they need and i'll call my mechanic friend who can check around and get back to me quickly. if one is found, then all we'd need is someone to volunteer to transport it. I'm sure we can make this work... someone post the info or PM me and i'll get on the phone!

Call the mechanic. The info was posted earlier in the thread.

time to go home grannies... i don't think giving them money will provide a very good return

Keep your crappy attitude to yourself. Many of support the grannies. If you don't move on to the next thread and spare us your negativity. It does no one any good and only lowers morale.

What do you call driving a recreational vehicle around this gorgeuous country while not earning a living wage?

It's either vacation or retirement by my book.

You guys want to drag this out longer - I've been holding back some. But I can certainly bring it if that's how we want to roll.

Anyone who told you to be yourself couldn't have given you worse advice.

I've seen some coverage - but it wasn't always positive in Iowa. The juice isn't worth the squeeze.

An RV gets horrible gas mileage. You know why more people aren't doing this? Because it isn't cost effective.

However, my long term goal when I retire is to travel around the country in a recreational vehicle. I love to travel - sounds like a great vacation.

But for now I will continue to work full time and spend my free time donating money and going door to door. If I have an extra red cent - it goes to Ron Paul or to my local meetup group for advertising.

Some people actually get second and third jobs so they can have more money for Ron Paul. I feel your post is trivializing all those people that are doing the true dirty work in this campaign. Driving a decorated RV doesn't hold a candle to door to door activity or working a phone bank.

Wow. You are really starting to piss me off. If you don't like what the grannies are doing then go to the next thread. Why are you wasting your time on it?

Your negativity is NOT HELPING ANYONE. Driving this RV around IS like a full time job or two. The grannies DO spend a lot of their own money. And they ARE doing the dirty work!

Who the hell made you the expert on what is valuable or not?

To whomever mentioned that we could buy a spot on TV and reach 50,000 people, how many people have seen this RV? I'd venture to say more than a couple million. Sure it doesn't have plasma screens on the outside with commercials running, but its name exposure.

I'm with the Granny Warriors 100%. I just donated another $25 and I hope some others will too.

Exactly. And COMMERCIALS are a dime a dozen. People go grab a snack and pee when there is a commercial. Or zoom past it with their TiVo.

The Granny mobile is UNIQUE and IMPOSSIBLE to ignore. Sheesh.

Who claimed I'm an expert?

I gave an opinion, and now I'm defending my opinion.

I have faith in my reasoning skills, and they tell me this is a waste of money, and those donating are doing the overall campaign a disservice if it reduces the amount of money they spend on local activism or HQ donations.

A TV spot reaching 50,000 people and also gives them a deeper glimpse of our platform. The reason why every campaign does this form of advertising is because it works.

A 30 second commercial gives a deeper glimpse of the platform? What world are you living in? The RV is impossible to ignore on the highway and when parked people visit and TALK to these SALT OF THE EARTH WOMEN who would make anyone think twice about voting for anyone but Ron Paul.

I'm living in the same world as Ron Paul's campaign advisors, I guarantee that.

But hey, since this is so frigging important, just have HQ cover the cost. Since this is so much more benficial then ad time, shouldn't be a problem for Ron to buy a new transmission, right?

then the RV keeps trucking, Ron gets to claim credit for this money in Q3 reporting. Win Win.

I have personally met the people and have seen the granny warriors RV. They are good honest people , donating their time and money to get Ron Paul elected. It is not a vacation. It is battle for them and the rest of us. A battle for our future. That is why everyone is supporting him.

If the bus doesn't work as a campaign exposure tool, then people with Ron Paul bumber stickers and signs on their cars must not be doing anything for the movement. I guess all of the people who put bumper stickers and have professional signs on their cars are just waisting their money.

The only people who could hurt this movement are people who discourage others from doing something for a good cause.

Grannywarrior PR is priceless!!

I meet the Grannywarrior in Ft Lauderdale at the Values Debate.

I sat in here RV and chatted with her for an hour. During that hour 20 people stopped by and took pictures. She gave away bumper stickers and sold t-shirts and updated the visitors on the latest details of the events planned for the afternoon and evening. Her RV is an on-site communications center for those of us who attend the RP events. If you have not attended an event, they always seem to be a bit of a moving target logistically. The police, organizers, the RP campaign and event holders all find a way to change locations and times.

Her camper is a a moving billboard and a magnet to all.

She has news paper clippings from newspapers everywhere she has traveled. She had a front page above the fold 6" photos and accompanying article from the Naples, Florida newspaper from the previous day. The PR she is receiving can not be purchased.

Look at her demographics...Granmothers. Just about every person over 65 I have spoken with has an issue with the leap of faith which is required by RP's health care plan. RP's plan removes the certainly, if only in perception, which the other bloated and wasteful plans the others are promising. Her peers see her and maybe give RP another look.

Grannywarrior is an integral and important part of RP's campaign. For those of you who think other wise are mistaken. If you can not see that at this time please reserve your comments and move out of the way so others can assist in getting the RP billboard and communications center back in action.

not to mention, the RV looks terrible... it doesn't really send the message that Ron Paul is a top tier candidate

Oh for God's sake. A lot of people are SICK of the slick politician. This gives Ron Paul a downhome feel.

For instance, I prefer to see crappy handmade signs at a sign wave than the campaign signs. Gives it the grassroots feel. Puts heart and soul into the campaign.

So you are comparing a $1 bumper sticker with $3,000 transmission.

BTW, if you buy a bumper sticker from Dr Paul, that will show up as a campaign contribution. His Q3 numbers will benefit.

If this was truly a good idea (and it isn't), Ron Paul should be operating the RV, and we could donate to him to keep it running. The Granny Warrior could still be involved manning the RV. That way the cost of running the RV would be included in Q3 numbers.

If this was a good idea, The granny Warriors would of already been approached by HQ.

Sorry to keep bringin this up. You got the guy from Hawaii to thank as well. I let this die for hours and ignored quite a few posts in that time frame.
