AP just called it for McConnel 56:42% KY

NC, WV and VA? just closed. The R in WV looks to be in the lead.

early results - the R is about 8 points ahead with 53% in
looks like KY is in the bag.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. It's decided on a race by race basis. How do you come up with a cumulative 8% advantage for Republicans in the Kentucky state house?

"we"?

I get the impression most of the folks on either aren't too much into the mainstream republicans.

Me and Inhofe, Alexander, and Sessions all won soundly. Though to be honest, Me and Sessions weren't contested in our race in Bama.

This election looks like it's shaping up to be the biggest rejection of a President in generations. The Democrats are getting wiped out - even Warner might lose, which would be astonishing given his 30 point lead for most of the race.

Democrats losing is a win, but Republicans winning is not necessarily a win. For the most part I feel like an outsider looking in, my only real stake in the matter is to enjoy the rejection of the current set of tyrants and try not to think too much about how it only puts a different set of tyrants into power.

The real key for us, IMO, is the GOP winning the Senate, and who the Majority Leader will be, since that person will be the person who shepherds through President Rand Paul's appointments.
