Don't give up - get energized and involved

If we had more states (and thus, the national committees) we wouldn't lose votes like this. We won 6+ states, now we need to win even more next time.

They spent millions of dollars, worked overtime and broke rules to keep you out of these positions. Why give them precisely what they want by leaving?

Some of us have decided that reforming the RNC is a less achievable goal than taking over and promoting a third party.

I look forward to when the L's have stripped enough people from the both parties to stand alone, and the R's and D's have to merge into the authoritarian party in order to stay relevant.

I look forward to a two party system of Libertarian party and Authoritarian Party.

I would like to know how you are going to create a 3rd party that will vie with the other Two. It hasn't happened, in the US, ever, I believe. Been there, tried that.

Its the old guard that have stabbed us in the back.

I, and others, are still going to work to replace them.

I really don't know what else can be done at this point.

I'm not going to give up on Liberty and the Constitution until they put me into the ground.

YMMV.
Here, here! The revolutionaries weren't quitters either! +Rep

And you should do what you think you should do. How's that replacing them thing working out for ya? The name Republican is tainted. I don't want any part of what they are and I don't think you can change people's perception to one of a party that respects liberty or the Constitution because neither of the current big 2 parties do either. Unless you are able to replace every member of the existing neocon/tea party dominated GOP, they will just keep changing the rules so that no person advocating liberty will ever be able to make inroads. Even some of the liberty candidates who benefitted from the hard work and money of the grassroots here have already rolled over and endorsed the establishment candidate...call it politics or whatever...a revolution means rejecting status quo politics. Enough is enough...for some of us it's time to go back to the drawing board.

In all battles and war there will be casualties. Some go AWOL others actually die or are severly wounded till they heal. We are not joined at the hip with the GOP. Its all an exercise of free will. For me i was thrust into being a republican BECAUSE thats what Ron Paul is. Is Ron really a republican, or is he playing the game?. He stated 3rd parties don't get fair treatment. Read between the lines of what Ron says regarding parties. Ideology is the driving force for 99% of Ron Paul supporters. I took the red pill. That rabbit hole is pretty deep. Am i dis-appointed in the results of our efforts?...yes, of course. I'm still in this game as hard as it is, but to just go back to an apathetic do nothing American is someting i can't do. I stated in another thread that i'm still a PCO and received an email notice from our Liberty group in my county that all Ron Paul PCO'S come to a meeting monday at the designated location. So far 30 have RSVP'd they will be there. The local GOP org. is lucky to get 10 at their meetings....TAKE A DEEP BREATHE...TAKE A BREAK....BUT COMEBACK STRONGER THAN BEFORE. We will win this. The goal is returning to a Constitutional Republic. If you're not down with that goal, then move out of the way.
Well said. The defeatists have already given this thread a one star rating because they want to see the liberty movement fracture and fail. Now is the time double our efforts, not buy into the apathy pitched by a few posters here ad nausuem.

Exactly! We put the fear of god into them when were tenacious and politically active inside a major party. They'll try all the tricks they can, but they still can't shut us out. We have time to build upon our gains and redouble our efforts.

The liberty movement has achieved more in the last 4 years than the Libertarian party has in the last 40 years!

Pretty damn good thank you very much for asking. The liberty movement has elected United States Senators, Congressmen, numerous states offices around the country and we control several state GOP. And we're poised to elect more people to office this election cycle.

How has being a defeatist been working for YOU? :D

I have to post this. Its a sobering thought.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtPBPSVaf4w

It makes George Bush look like a pussy. Where are all the whining Liberals now. They couldn't stop shrieking during Bush's 8-years.

As far as a Third party coming to the fore or becoming a 2nd party. Knock yourself out. You have to get the money, the organization in every state and the voters. Its never happened before. Attempts like Ross Perot Reform just faded into squabling, lawsuits and counter lawsuits. Look up the history. The Liberatarian party has gone the same way the last 8 years. Unite all the smaller groups and take from D & R. Hasn't happened either.

As I said earlier. Been there. Tried that. So has Ron Paul.

I think you will find it will be easier to replace people and influence the voters of the current parties. The Republican used to be for Liberty and the Constitution but has been corrupted the past 100 years. It will take several years of hard work to move it back.

But yes, if you can successfully create a viable 3rd party, a lot of us will come.

You say defeatist, I say realist. The GOP by giving themselves complete control now over the delegate process have already revealed what they are. I have no desire to be them, take over them, or be associated with the party of the MIC...to each his own. Some of us don't have to keep gettng hit in the face with a brick before we decide to say Fck off. When our presidential candidate's own campaign starts working against us it's time to re-evaluate.

Why on God's green earth would I want to continue being a member of a party that stabbed us in the back? Decorum prevents me from saying what I feel that particular party should do to itself. Expecting them to ever play by their own rules, observe the Constitution, or display any level of sanity will have you bargaining against yourself.

*throws out baby, bathwater, and warmongering neocon non-liberty lovin' jerkwads and anyone who endorses them in one fell swoop". Wheeeee! Now THAT is liberty.

They WON'T play by their own rules. How many kicks in the ass do we have to endure (today, alone) before people here get the message???

When some here say it's working for them, you need to realize that there are some here who are probably looking to advance their own careers within the GOP. They don't care about warmongering, loss of civil liberties, unconstitutional actions, etc. Just beat Obama, baby.

^^this is how I feel.

I hope you guys that stay in the party enjoy getting screwed over again next time.. Twice was enough for me!

...The defeatists... ad nausuem.

-1 for every time I hear this game being played. You're slashing tires with that fodder. We're rolling, junior. And you spelled the other thing wrong oh brilliant one.

I don't know why the other poster babbles back and forth with you to be honest. There will be no redefining of where the future of any liberty movement will be. Everyone knows where it started as well as understand where the energy was and will continue to be displayed most. Certainly wasn't in Tampa like the other thread spun it. In fact folks have been fighting for it (because that's how it's done) as the little people that they are for centuries. What do you know about history? How old are you anyhow? Twenty something? What I see are Hegelian brakes being slammed on in an effort to rescribble the terms of controversy relevant to the task. Nope. We're rolling. Move out of the way or remember where you came from. It wasn't Tampa, I can tell you that much.

I want to spit nails every time I read your crap. You don't know anything except how to generate bad energy.

And what is your re-evaluation plan said realist? True realism is acknowledging that America is dominated by the two party system and that won't change within anyone's lifetime. There's really only two choices here, either work within a major party or become apathetic. Ron Paul advised against the latter position. So, that begs the question...why are you here on Ron Paul forums?

Why are you here again? Ron Paul advised supporters to work within the GOP. And you've already acknowledged you have no real plan to replace Ron's.

I just counter the defeatist trolling behavior displayed by a certain set of screen names in countless threads. If you don't like it, perhaps don't read it?
