Due to the latest RNC shenanigans to remove the 5th plurality (Maine), people are posting about giving up on the Republicans. I say to them....

Don't despair, and don't give up !!! Ever.

Get together at the county level and get involved.

Download your State RNC rules from the website.

Learn Roberts rules.

Go to county RNC meetings and video.

Learn the procedures.

Get together and do a simulated county meeting.

Do it again with the chair breaking the rules and learn to call them on it.

Socialize and get people on your side.

When it comes to the time for the county elections, vote them out !!!

Then work up to the State and the national RNC.

The sleeping giant of America has awakened, and we have already achieved more in the last 6-months than we did in the previosu 4-years.

Let's roll !!!

Yep. Just because the wheels may be square for a while doesn't mean the the truck that got built to haul the liberty around don't work. So...yes. Back to work. Who is in charge of the wheel department? Need a pit crew too. Good post, OP.

Defeatist posts should be met with words of encouragement. To those who come to the conclusion that the world is messed up- the world is what you make of it.

Socialize and get people on your side.

If people do this, most of the other stuff will be less important. Everyone here is pretty issues-driven and might be able to look past a swastika tattoo on a candidate if it was believed that he was truly a liberty-minded person. But the rest of the world doesn't work that way. A likeable candidate will beat the candidate who is solid on issues (but off-putting) every time. People will come to liberty if her advocates are inviting.

Starting with not placing those kinds of labels on them. Not that I'm attacking you but I've seen that term thrown around here in the direction of alot at folks. Few were actually defeatist. That language is mostly generated as a result of the old either with us or against us meme. It's bad energy.

Yeah, after thinking about it a few minutes- some people probably just need to vent it out. My real concern was with people serious about quitting the fight due to things not looking so good right now.

I've been working through the last year in my mind. Media. Events. Primaries etc. and the logic and possibilities of why things happened they way they did.

As we are not privy to the machinimations (?) of the various groups and people involved. By logic we can get to a number of limited possibilities. I hope to structure something worthwhile during next week that I think may be plausible of why events happened and a short list of who is controlling them.

But moving on. As we are trying to move the Republican Party back to its Liberty and Constitutional roots, by actively working within it, then (and the RINO's will love this) it may be prudent to reconsider the option of 'no one but Paul'. Although I and many others are angry and annoyed at the continual changes in rules and blocking of Ron Paul candidates/delegates by the 'old guard', we have only barely started trying to replace them and our quite early into this phase of the rEVOLution. A negative consequence of Obama getting in and Ron Paul supporters being blamed is it will make it harder to make changes.

Throwing out the baby with the bath water and short term pain for long term gain are phrases that come to mind.

So despite my earlier, heartfelt feelings about Romney, I am now pausing, to consider the greater issues for the long term good of Liberty and the Constitution.

I have a feeling Obama will continue to use executive orders and extend his powers if he get's in. I only hope the Republican candidate will cancel some of those orders and not sign anymore anti-Liberty bills that comes his way.

At this point, I am on the fence until I sort through the items I first mentioned.

We all should take a breather. Its going to be an intense weekend for us. But we will move on.

In Liberty...

They are just venting as well. Most of them anyway. We all are. No one likes a cheat. Why couldn't they just play fair by their own rules ?

We have put our heart and souls into this for more than a year. After the conference there will be a week of reflection, but we need to re-group, recover and get re-invigorated. Its about way more than just the November election.

Well, sunsense, it is my opinion that if you go with Romney, and he wins, many here will have the chance to say I TOLD YOU SO (that Romney is the same as Obama).

There will be no change. Guaranteed.

Why on God's green earth would I want to continue being a member of a party that stabbed us in the back? Decorum prevents me from saying what I feel that particular party should do to itself. Expecting them to ever play by their own rules, observe the Constitution, or display any level of sanity will have you bargaining against yourself.

*throws out baby, bathwater, and warmongering neocon non-liberty lovin' jerkwads and anyone who endorses them in one fell swoop". Wheeeee! Now THAT is liberty.

You can't tell me so. I understand that he is 95% the same as Obama. Just go check out my facebook page, martin just-martin.

The real question is will he be worse.

Also, how will our actions be perceived by the ordinary members of the Republican party. Not the current committemen etc. I'm looking at the next 4-years and how we go about replacing many of the current old guard.

Our actions...of rolling over?

I'm thinking they will have no lingering beneficial effect.

I would like to know how you are going to create a 3rd party that will vie with the other Two. It hasn't happened, in the US, ever, I believe. Been there, tried that.

Its the old guard that have stabbed us in the back.

I, and others, are still going to work to replace them.

I really don't know what else can be done at this point.

I'm not going to give up on Liberty and the Constitution until they put me into the ground.

YMMV.

I guess there is not much else to say at this point. Maybe after next week.

NOTE: My first post still stands. Get involved and learn the system so we can replace these B------s.

ADD: We still have to work on 'the people'. We didn't win any state. Most were 10-15%. That's another large hurdle to overcome as is getting the 40% of people who don't vote out and energized.

In all battles and war there will be casualties. Some go AWOL others actually die or are severly wounded till they heal. We are not joined at the hip with the GOP. Its all an exercise of free will. For me i was thrust into being a republican BECAUSE thats what Ron Paul is. Is Ron really a republican, or is he playing the game?. He stated 3rd parties don't get fair treatment. Read between the lines of what Ron says regarding parties. Ideology is the driving force for 99% of Ron Paul supporters. I took the red pill. That rabbit hole is pretty deep. Am i dis-appointed in the results of our efforts?...yes, of course. I'm still in this game as hard as it is, but to just go back to an apathetic do nothing American is someting i can't do. I stated in another thread that i'm still a PCO and received an email notice from our Liberty group in my county that all Ron Paul PCO'S come to a meeting monday at the designated location. So far 30 have RSVP'd they will be there. The local GOP org. is lucky to get 10 at their meetings....TAKE A DEEP BREATHE...TAKE A BREAK....BUT COMEBACK STRONGER THAN BEFORE. We will win this. The goal is returning to a Constitutional Republic. If you're not down with that goal, then move out of the way.

I'll drink to that!!

A couple other things to keep in mind:

- The stuff that has been coming out this week is stuff the campaign knew was going to happen several months ago. That's why they don't appear to be as outraged about it. I've always had the feeling RNC were going to boot delegates with impunity, but the fact is- the gains that were made over the last 4 years are too much for RNC to completely shut down. It is not business as usual for them- the RP campaign has stated many times publicly EXACTLY what their strategy was, yet Team Mitt have been in damage control since Iowa. And now there are going to be at least 3 hardcore Paul delegations- so deeply entrenched in the party apparatus that there is 0 they can do to keep them out.

- In 2008, I probably would have voted for Hillary if she were nominated. Ironically, I got turned on to the delegate shenanigans when I was following her campaign. I didn't even know Ron Paul was running. I liked McCain in 2000, and probably would have voted for him, had he won back then. From following his campaign, I got educated on how Lee Atwater and Karl Rove handled McCain. It was a completely different McCain running in 2008. They were so confident with McCain that he was able to stop campaigning when the crash hit. Ron Paul delegates at the RNC in 2008 - what would they have given just to see 3 state delegations cast their votes for Ron Paul?

- Soon, Ron Paul will be done working for the government, and someone should make sure he has an account here, so he can start posting.

Josh would need to put RON PAUL in gold letters for his screen name....lol...
