Did you see the last of cspan

I would agree with that, the money has already beenprovidied for the fence so they might as well build it now, although I don't think it's gonna real make a huge difference in the long.

I think abolishing the welfare state will though

Again, the problem with the suggested fence is it would require eminent domain to get the areas they want. Dr. Paul isn't stridently against the fence being built, but he is stridently against taking people's property to do so.

when i first saw your forum name i winced a little bit, hoping that your posts would match the name you chose. I am not dissapointed. :) Linking Hoppe in the first post of your i've seen :)

:D Hoppe gets a real bum rap in some "libertarian" circles because he is completely, and unapologetically culturally conservative. I would really recommend all those here that consider immigration and conservative cultural issues to be important to read Hoppe. Actually everyone should read Hoppe. A little brain stretching might do some good :)

Ron Paul truly cares about our country. This will result in a 1000% improvement over what we have now with regards to the border and illegal immigration.

eliminating incentives to come here is a virtual fence.

illegal immigration will only get worse with hillarycare

Border property owners would welcome a fence. They have to be on guard 24/7 to keep these illegals from stealing, breaking into their home, and kill their family.

A super double wall with sensors and super death rays? Will there also be sharks with laser beams on their heads?

The fence is a joke. This is the state we are talking about. Here are your super sensors:

Behind schedule and what is there is basically offline. Duh, again, this is the Government we are talking about. All that super technology is just science fiction.

And I have a friend that works in the steel industry in Texas. His company sells steel that is used on the fences. It is a cash cow, but completely impractical. The design of the wall they are building in the southwest right now is a patchwork with a constantly changing design as people learn to compromise it as it is built. It is easy to compromise, when, get this, no joke here:

THE WALL IS FABRICATED IN MEXICO

The steel gets sent to Mexico where the wall is fabricated and sent back to be installed. I was told one story in which they fabricated doors in the wall, with hinges, that were flush and blended in with the panels, like a door.

The plan for Texas is 18 foot steel poles pounded six feet into the ground and spaced four inches apart. But a fence won't work and it would cut through a lot of private property.

All private property owners will welcome a fence to stop trespassing and damage. I don't agree that those citizens would object one bit.

You guys are stereotyping illegals as poor, dirty, diseased, violent mexicans.

I'm from Los Angeles, my family is from Israel, and I know literally hundreds of Israelis who come here "on vacation" and stay to make a life for themselves, illegally.

Chill with the stereotyping. Just cause someone comes here illegally, doesn't make them a monster. It's still wrong, because it's against the law, and we should do something about it - but they're not monsters. They're just rational enough to know that they can sneak in and make a life for themselves now instead of waiting like a good boy on a list for ten years while everyone ELSE is cutting...
