Debut of the long awaited "I Pledge" video from Young Americans for Liberty

That was cheesy. Is that going to appeal to anybody not already appealed? Even though it's a great video, seems like it's target audience is those already in the movement. Never a bad time to be inspired, I suppose. :)

with your help, we can continue to recruit, train, educate, and mobilize students on the ideals of liberty and the constitution.

bump!!! ;)

Post it on your Facebook wall. Rate it, comment it, share it.

We should get a downloadable copy so we can upload it to Facebook and tag our friends in it. That would lead to massive amounts of viewing.

This video is not new. I saw it when RP was in Minneapolis in September.

It's new as far as a stand-alone version goes. The only clip I've ever seen was video footage of video footage, taken at the event. (In other words, silhouettes standing up in front of the camera, people talking in the background.)

It's about time YAL released the video itself.

Bump.
I remember asking where I could get a copy of it when it first launched.
You know what I miss in it though?
The applause from that audience.
I would love to see it done again, in the same setting as the first but better quality so as to include that audience's response.

Personally, I like it. I think it does all these things:
1. it gives the movement big-time mainstream legitimacy
2. it advertises itself as attractive and makes you want to join
3. it puts a wholesome image on anti-government philosophy (makes ideas which are normally disagreeable to many quite agreeable)
4. it mixes “revolution” with smiles and hope
5. it provides a whole new paradigm for “goodism”
6. it provides just enough exotic pledges to be cool (and educational)
7. it’s a good mix, appealing to both sheep and individuals.
