How much does Lindsey Graham dislike Ted Cruz? Count the ways.
On the question of foreign policy, the Texas senator is "just as wrong as Obama, if not worse," Graham told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on Thursday.
"In Ted Cruz's world, dictators do very well," he continued, comparing his colleague's foreign policy to that of Ron Paul, the former congressman, Republican presidential candidate and long-time leading libertarian.
Asked why his fellow senators are reputed to have such a distaste for Cruz, Graham accused the winner of the Iowa GOP caucuses of being an "opportunist" to his core -- one who "gets ahead at our expense" and will "run down other Republicans" to advance his own ambitions.
Not that Graham -- who has endorsed Jeb Bush -- is warming to Donald Trump, whose foreign policy prescriptions he described as "gibberish."
"I don't know if anybody's worse than Trump," Graham told Blitzer, rolling out a familiar burn: "If you're a Republican and your choice is Donald Trump and Ted Cruz in a general election," he said, "it's the difference between poisoned or shot -- you're still dead."
What about a potential independent run by Michael Bloomberg?
Graham rejected the billionaire former New York City mayor -- who is considering a third-party run for president -- out of hand.
"I'm gonna support the Republican nominee," Graham said, and if it's Trump or Cruz, "I'm gonna buy a ticket on the Titanic."
Asked who, of the three highest-finishing GOP candidates in Iowa, he preferred, Graham chose Marco Rubio.
"Marco," he said, "has a worldview consistent with reason and reality versus the other two."
I'm not going to do anything for Cruz in this presidential campaign.
But I do think Rand should make sure to keep a good relationship with him for an ongoing alliance in the Senate.
No way !! Cruz is a Neocon. Look at his foreign policy advisers. Israel Israel Israel.
When picking a president, foreign policy matters more than domestic policy

Graham: Cruz worse than Obama
I'd say that is not my view of ted cruz view of the world McCain said.
“The world is on fire, and we’re taking up precious days doing this,” McCain said.
Sen. John McCain says the Obama Administration's handling of the Syrian civil war is a direct result of “leading from behind.”
Millions of Americans are realizing this isn't working," "The Obama economy is a disaster. Obamacare is a train wreck and the Obama-Clinton foreign policy of leading from behind -- the whole world's on fire."
To me, Rand is a 10/10, Cruz is a 6/10, and everyone else is irrelevant. Yes, the USA Freedom Act is shaky for sure, but Cruz's public statements as to why he voted for it is to stop innocent Americans from being spied on. This would force Cruz to be open to a Paul-written NSA reform bill, because he'd look bad if he did something opposite of his previous justification on this issue. I have yet to hear a single reason from anyone anywhere on these forums why Rubio or Trump would be better than Cruz. I think we can all agree that Cruz is better than Rubio. And Trump certainly would not be as willing to listen to Paul and Cruz would, as Trump completely misses the point on many freedom issues. Normally, I'd be with you guys on only voting for someone who completely understands freedom instead of half understanding it, but there is a time limit on how much time we have to stop the freedom loss in America, which means we have to do what best tweaks the odds in our favor. Ever heard of the law, "evil only has to win once"? If Paul was still in the race, then I'd still vote for him over Cruz, even if Paul had no chance to win, because Paul having more votes would make his message look stronger. A candidate who isn't in the race however, does not have their message look that much weaker from less votes.
I personally don't see much difference between Cruz and Trump on foreign policy.
I see Trump as a wild card on foreign policy. I don't feel any assurance at all that he would be the slightest bit less interventionist than anyone else. In fact, he strikes me as the type of president who would eagerly search out a massive war as a vehicle for leaving himself with a legacy of greatness.
He was a partisan Democrat in the early Bush years and touted the standard anti-Bush lines about the Iraq War. And then history vindicated him and now with hindsight he can continue to criticize Bush's foreign policy and say he was right all along. But it's not like there's any other coherent foreign policy that Trump has to put up in place of neoconservatism, beyond a very simplistic black-and-white, "I will get my way, and I'll bomb whomever I have to to get it."
I personally don't see much difference between Cruz and Trump on foreign policy. Their foreign policy for the most part is pretty identical. They both say the Iraq War was a mistake, both oppose nation building in the Middle East, both opposed the war in Libya, both oppose toppling Assad in Syria, but both also support bombing ISIS. Trump's foreign policy is halfway decent, but his positions on civil liberties and economics are terrible.
Filled With Bombast And Excess: Donald Trump Still Is The Best Of A Bad GOP Lot On Foreign Policy

Fuck no he isn't he is just the same, his mid east policy is still going to have us facing off with Russia, he wants to occupy the middle east and control the oil to control terrorism, and Russia doesn't like that, he insinuates that Russia is going to take out the terrorists so we don't have to pay for it, but all they are doing is securing their main commodity in their economy it has nothing to do with ISIS. If Trump is president and lets Russia take control over the middle east then they will control our entire economy with their control over oil. Since i don't see him offering a fresh perspective to this current face off, if you insinuate Trump deviating from this policy at all it is probably in the direction towards world war three not away from.
