Today at 5 p.m. we will know the results of the Presidential Straw Poll at CPAC. If the Fox News poll is any indicator, then it will be a good day for us. But, as we all know, we can win any online poll that tickles our fancy. Will we take the boots on the ground poll? I'm hopeful and anxious at the same time.

I would love to hear from those in attendance at CPAC. Which way is the wind blowing?

Hoping Mia Love finds a way to rebrand herself, or at least move forward with the Party, if she plans to run again in 2014.

Love that Jeb Bush was so scared of this thing, he removed his name from it. He knew full well he was going to get 2% or something.

WHAT do they find so captivating about Ayotte? If two more-or-less conservative candidates hadn't split the "liberty" vote in the GOP primary, she wouldn't have even made it to the general IIRC.

Bump for straw poll watchers. I'm already nervous.

Is anyone else having problems with audio during Palins speech? The volume is very low for me.

Rand is expected to win from everything I've read. From the YAL organization I think they tapped the rally lists in the neighboring states from the campaign. I'd be surprised if Rand didn't win at this point. I expect Santorum to be 'higher than expected' due to grit-your-teeth organization (I think Adelson is still funding him) , but I don't see anyone who can beat Rand between YAL and his filibuster.

I guess the only question is if the famous 'Saturday buses' come in for Rubio as they used to for Mitt, but I think the establishment candidates are taking the 'straw polls don't count' approach, as with Bush.

Is that a problem with CPAC or are you thinking of the Iowa straw poll?

Phyliss Schafly pushing Ted Cruz during her speech. No mention of Rand or Rubio.

I knowww. the Canadian-born Cuban-American before the US-born Cuban-American,
not to mention the former Texas schoolboy now Senator from the great state of Kentucky.

. . . that is a very technical foul !

It scares me that the establish pushes people whose natural-born status is questionable if not non-existent (Obama, McCain, Cruz)

Was Cruz a Canadian citizen at birth? If so, he is 100% not natural-born, regardless of his other positive attributes.

His mother was a US citizen and father a Cuban refugee and legal permanent resident of the US at the time of his birth. They were working in Canada at the time. He was born with the right, by birth, to be a US citizen.
