Giuliani and Cain were not listed as potential candidates on previous polls. Data from April 29-May 1 and
April 9-10 poll indicates the second choice for respondents who chose Mike Huckabee or Donald Trump as
their first choice, and indicates the third choice for respondents who chose both Huckabee and Trump as
their first and second choices

Desperation for 'anyone' and not remembering him?

Unfortunately the smear campaign against Ron was pretty widespread, and his age would make a bunch of people look elsewhere FIRST, what I am hoping is that they are now concerned enough to keep looking when the warts of the 'fresh faces' are pointed out. Trump was huge for a month, remember?

And now Cain is surging and Bachmann will as she announces, everyone is getting a bump as people get to know them.

get this ..... without the Ghoul or Palin, were in 2nd place only 6% behind Romney. 21 to 15, thats fuckin baller!

this is GOOD news, no need to be down. I mean 15% who the heck would've thought we'd be at 15% at this stage in the game!?

If we use Fox News reasoning, Ron Paul is tied for first ;)

He was in the Texas national poll Wednesday too... he had 10% and the leader was Palin with 12%....

But PPP is giving CAIN their permanent national slot for the head to head position against Obama....

One last thing guys, go to http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2011/images/05/27/rel9a.pdf and then scroll to page 6.

According to this data, Ron is someone that a lot of republicans are "pleased, but not enthusiastic" about Ron Paul, and we do well in the negative categories as well. This generally implies his overall positives are high among normal, everyday GOPers, and that in turn means that our "ceiling" of support isn't just limited to libertarians and paleocons. Ron truly can win this election, and get the votes of everyday average republicans.

If you look at the cross-tabs, they took 473 registered Republicans, but ONLY from suburban households in the South and West regions. That stands out as somewhat fishy, to me....

Although, now that I look back at previous polls, he HAS been polling around 10% when he's been included. So maybe with Trump and Huckabee dropping out, he really has gone up to the 15% neighborhood.

Also, 63% of those polled would be at least "pleased but not enthusiastic" if Paul were to be the nominee (20% would be enthusiastic). That's better overall numbers than either Gingrich or Palin and puts Ron in the front of the pack with Romney and Giuliani.

Who the fuck is voting for Ghouliani?

Seriously? (where's head exploding gif?)

Dave, Central Illinois

Giuliani all the way. We need a leader with guts in the Whitehouse, not one that takes the credit for other peoples work.

Post debate, I bet Paul was at 16%.

They hammered him for a few days on heroine, Osama, and civil rights.

Woo!

Luckily we haven't peaked too soon. That should be our talking point for Romney.
