Can a non Christain under any circumstances go to heaven(Christians only)

Baby? Yes... hasn't reached the age of accountability yet - no one knows what that is, I would guess God's guidelines would be set per individual. As far as if a person dies, never having had the chance to accept Jesus as their savior.... I've struggled with that also.... because in the bible it says when Jesus was dead for three days he went to hell to ask all those before he died if they would accept him as the messiah.

To tell you the truth... I do not know... and wont till the day I die.. none of us will.

I happen to believe so, but I'm pretty unconventional for a Christian. Even if there is a Hell for those who reject God, there's plenty of evidence, especially in the Christian Apocrypha, that Hell may be temporary, and that everybody is eventually redeemed and reunited with the Creator.

"Surely, those who believe, those who are the Jews and the Sabians and the Christians – whosoever believed in God and the Last Day, and worked righteousness, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve."
[ Quran 5:69]

Sorry, but the Quran does not say that Christians and Jews will be saved. This verse comes up a lot in discussions at the mosque and the cleric always has to correct people who misinterpret this verse.

YUSUFALI: Those who believe (in the Qur'an), those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Sabians and the Christians,- any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness,- on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

The Christian reads this and concludes that Christians and Jews are going to heaven according to the Quran. Sadly, such a conclusion is a conclusion based on ignorance, and based on a lack of understanding on the Quran and Islam in general, and we really cant blame the Christian for that, since Islam is not their faith and they do not extensively study about it hence they make honest ignorant mistakes.

Now as for the verse, this passage is referring to the true Christians and Jews, when I say the true Christians and Jews I am referring to the ones who believe in the prophet Muhammad, the Quran, and the ones who followed all prophets and the instructions of Jesus. For instance, a true Jew would believe in Jesus, and all prophets that were sent to them, any Jew who does not believe in this is not a true Jew. And as we all know many Jews reject Jesus, hence this passage is not referring to those Jews. Now at the same time both the Jews and Christians must also accept the prophet Muhammad as their last and final prophet, because their own books told them that the prophet Muhammad would come and that they would have to believe in him. In fact the Quran records Jesus as saying:

061.006
YUSUFALI: And remember, Jesus, the son of Mary, said: "O Children of Israel! I am the messenger of Allah (sent) to you, confirming the Law (which came) before me, and giving Glad Tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad." But when he came to them with Clear Signs, they said, "this is evident sorcery!"

......

Last but not least, if one were to check the Islamic commentaries, one would see that the Islamic scholars explained that this verse was referring to the Christians and Jews alive during the time when the Gospel and Torah was available to them, and it was referring to the Christians and Jews who would follow the instructions given in those 2 books, since those 2 books have been corrupted and lost and have been replaced by the Quran, this then means verse 5:69 is once again not referring to present day Christians and Jews.

The Quran shows us what the message of Jesus was, and present day Christians are at complete odds with it, hence present day Christians are not the ones mentioned in Surat 5:69, so no matter which angle you look at it the present day Christians have no case with Surat 5:69, the only remaining true Christians in the present day are the ones who become Muslim, the same goes for the Jews.

I never like this question. I don't know nearly enough to tell you who will go to Heaven and who will not.

This question isn't one that can really be answered by any one person. None of us know the requirements to get into heaven or what heaven actually is. Many of us believe we all go to the gates of heaven to be judged by God and he then decides if we are worthy of admittance. Believing that, do you believe that God (The forgiving God of the New Testament) is going to allow a christian that does not follow his teachings into heaven before a non christian that follows his teachings in his actions towards his fellow men?

I myself do not believe you have to be declared a christian or follower of Jesus, many religions and cultures have similar deities with similar teachings. Perhaps God has communicated with these people in different ways. I do not feel that he would communicate with only a select group of people and ignore the rest of his people.

Then again, none of us can really answer this question honestly, the only way to know would be for us to have a direct conversation with God on the matter. When that happens, we are not coming back to earth to spread the message.

I believe that everyone is given a choice before the Book of Life is opened. If they choose not to accept Christ as the payment for being born of flesh and sin, then they are cast out; however, the sooner one accepts Christ and become a disciple, the better one can live and gain knowledge.

"For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law (for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified; for when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves, who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them) in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel." - Rom. 2:12-16

It seems that we're not judged by how much we know, but rather by what we do with the information that we do have.

For anyone who would like to read what the Orthodox Church's position is in regards to this, this article is a good summary. Granted, it was written for Orthodox Christians, so keep that in mind if you choose to read it.

I doubt the OP is asking honest questions but the underlying tone is that some may be in hell "who don't deserve it".

Rest assured that no one in hell will be undeserving of punishment. Also, there will be no one in heaven that didn't deserve that same wrath.

What if some random Athiest dies, sees God for his judgement, and goes "ooops, I guess you do exist. You're my lord and savior that means"?

I see you're new here. Some people believe ascension or descension happen immediately after death, which would rule that out. That's not what I believe, however. I believe all things, and indeed, all people will eventually be restored to the glory that God created them for. There is no such teaching in the Bible as eternal torment in an everlasting inferno. The idea of it is absurd, and it is not a biblical doctrine.

Everlasting punishment is "death"; no resurrection. People judged wicked will no longer exist.

I see alot of false info going around. The Bible makes it very clear that everybody who has heard and rejected WILL go to hell. Now, about the people who never heard, the bible talks about two men who never heard and says it will better then them in the last days then those who heard and rejected.

Revelations specifically notes a "lake of fire" which contains those who are not written in the Book of Life which will be tormented along with the fallen one and the antichrist for eternity. Hades will offer up all of the dead (spirits) and they will be judged. The only way out is accepting Christ. Those who refuse will not have their names written in the Book of Life.

I'll take the bait. Where does the Bible talk about these two men?
