Breaking: Paris shootings and explosions near Stade de France kill 129

Sure is a good thing France has such strict gun control laws.

im 99.9% certain that even armed citizens would be able to stop or mitigate a sophisticated and well planned terror attack.

smaller scale shootings, yes, but not something of this magnitude.

I'm 100% certain an armed hostage has a better chance of mitigating or stopping this attack than an unarmed hostage...

Not from tonight, but helps visualize what the theater looked like and how packed it could get.

Body count is now 140 dead. Internet talk radio (Michael Rivero) speculated on the "cui bono?' aspects of this, noting the timing of it coming on the eve of the Vienna meeting Saturday between nations to discuss the Syria situation. The meeting will doubtless now be dominated by appeals to step up the battle against ISIS terrorists based on this incident, and getting all parties to either go with a ceasefire, or a settlement on US terms (everybody agrees to have US in charge, Assad must go, Russia and Iran must go, etc.).

I'm 99.9% certain it wouldn't have been attempted in an armed crowded theatre.

Wake up call for Europeans. Stop the migration and end all immigration from Muslim countries. Islam is not compatible with liberal societies.

I have heard that France has sealed its borders.

Wake up call? Not sure they will hear it. They are gone full-retard, after all.

The timing of this sucks so bad. Rubio 2016, gonna spend another couple trillion dollars and a few thousand lives to start another permanent occupation in the middle east because of a terrorist attack. Can't let a good tragedy go to waste

I'd be more inclined to label it "suspiciously convenient".

This is history being made. I was always skeptical about claims that the EU was going to dissolve, but now? Now everything has changed.

It's an inevitability. It would make no sense though, since this is really going to hurt the EU and the globalist narrative.

The problem with dismissing the potential conspiracy angles is that we are not talking about "leaders" that are mentally sound. Just look at Merkel; does anyone here for even the briefest moment think she is playing with a full deck? Look at the Brits - crazier than shithouse rats. Given the indications that these officials are running several cans short of full six-packs, it immediately calls into question their capacity for rational, sound thought. I believe that capacity may be lower than the minimum necessary to govern in a way that doesn't wreck everything in time.

Crazy people see the same things we look at very differently. I look at a horse and see a horse. Crazy people see a kitchen sink, or perhaps a cut nail or winter salami. This is a big part of the reason we call them "crazy". Therefore, just because YOU recognize a path forward as insane and doomed to failure, it does not follow that someone else doesn't see it as the greatest idea ever.

I'm not saying this was a false flag, but am urging at least some minimal caution in dismissing the possibility out of hand.

Who, for example, would have thought Bay Of Pigs would have a stink on it? Northwoods? Gulf of Tonkin? And yet, these all played out far smellier than any nominally sound adult of the respective eras would have thought. Anyone suggesting Tonkin was a false flag would have been automatically and immediately dismissed at the very least and possibly taken away and drugged as dangerously insane. And yet, they would have been right.

So be careful by remaining circumspect.

The word is these are people who lived in France, went to Syria, got trained and returned to reign terror.

I've always been for staying out of the business of other countries and not policing the world, but I have reached the point that serious measures now need to be taken against ISIS or this will just continue in countries around the world - including the U.S.

At this point, it's time. We need to put together a multi-national force, have an up and down vote in Congress to declare war - and declare war against ISIS and go all out in Iraq/Syria. Full invasion. Scorched earth. Wipe them out - and then leave. They come back like cockroaches, go back in and wipe them out and leave. Repeat and rinse until they decide to live peaceful lives.

Merkel is a moron, but I don't think she's crazy.

I'm not dismissing anything, but this tragedy is already the worst thing to ever happen to the EU. It wouldn't be in their interest, and claiming the officials are crazy doesn't justify anything.
