I dont think there would be blood splatter because that would require the truck to be going very fast... so fast that it causes the body to literally rupture open (deer + 60mph car). Plus, the truck is flat so its like being hit by a wall, unlike a car where the front is pointed. Most of hte blood will be under the truck I imagine as the wheels crushes the person.

Yes, all trucks should be manual transmission. Shifting the gears one gear at a time will allow people to get out of the way. Automatic transmissions shift to quick allowing for faster and multiple gears.

Also there should be a ban on the number of gears that can be installed on a truck. The old three speed on the column is what transmissions were meant to be when trucks were designed. More than three gears is for military and police use. No one needs more than three gears for hunting driving..
