If you are second guessing the rural mountain areas...
Consider the old days of the moonshiners and how effective they were in avoiding the mainstream and "Outsiders" (Granted technology has drastically changed the "Revenuers" ability to keep tabs on them), one must consider that the region has proven more than adequate to sustain life.
Plenty of water, game, shelter...everything you need.
Not in Montana during a blizzard! Pure folly!
have fun being FREE! we can take over the town, and run it how we see fit!
Since the mountains are winning might I suggest east Tennessee. It's really nice here. You get all 4 seasons. I'm within a 30 minute drive of The Smokies and a 6 hour drive to the beach (Charleston).![]()
Uh and how many poisonous variety of snakes? I suggest the cascades in Wa State, the only snake that might get you is a cougar or sometimes old grizz. You can eat off the land infinite with apples, blueberries, cherries, salmon, trout and tons more good edibles.
