Adam Kokesh: The next revolution leader?

I think this patriot knows what is best for HIM to do...

I love it how so many love to ASSume they know what would be a better course of action then the one SOMEONE else is taking...

well, im just saying, name one libertarian who was in congress.

So there seems to be good consensus here. I am going to try and contact him and just left him know that we'd like to hear more from him and how we as a forum might be able to help him in any way. Ok with everyone?

And I don't have his contact details, so if someone knows him...

I'll point him to this thread when I email him next.

OK, I just messaged him through his FaceBook, gave him the link to this thread, and asked if he'd come here and talk to us about how we can best stand with him.

But, I must ask - why are we constantly looking for new leaders in this movement? Kokesh, Ventura, Barr, Balwin, etc.. Sure, we can use others' actions as motivation.. But if we are to succeed, we must all become leaders.

precisely!!!!! need to stop looking for others to lead & take it on--on an individual level!! {{so glad to see this *early* on in this thread!!}}

btw: what IF we asked ...what coule WE do for IVAW???? a question we may need to ask to more & more groups--to create the cohesiveness needed ...hmmmmm? ;)

I don't think it is a leader or looking for ONE person but rather happy to BUILD UP those willing to stand up and be happy to help them accomplish their goals AS WELL AS learn from them and take their ideas and expand on them or use them for ourselves in our local, state and national levels as well.

I am not looking for another ron paul or ron paul for that matter to be my saviour BUT rather my educator and teacher so I can learn what I need to do next. There are people like Adam as well who take their own approach to this revolution as well and many including soldiers can take from his leadership and apply it to their own lives as well.

The argument of having no leaders, or that we should all be leaders, is great, it just doesn't work in real life. Kinda like Communism.

I have certain skills in society that very very few others have. If you have a crashed hard drive, I can fix it as well as any technician in the world can. I am a leader at what I do. Adam is a leader in other areas. He has different skills. He can inspire and excite people to bravery and action and help push OUR movement forward with his skills. A man should be recognized and honored for his skills. To think we are all the same, and can all be leaders in this movement, is not independence or individualism, it is the ultimate form of Communism.

Adam has a gift. I want to see that gift flourish to it's fullest potential.

You are probably right. I'll admit to judging him on his appearence as well, and I know that isn't really fair. I will reserve my judgement, but I still don't like the aggressive rethoric. He has passion that is for sure, I just can't shake the fear that he might explode some day, irrational as that may be, as I say it is more of a feeling then a rational argument.

I definitely appreciated his politically incorrect speech. It was refreshing. While it's a dangerous line to walk these days, it's healthy for people to be reminded of what may be necessary if the criminal lawmakers in D.C. continue to ignore the citizens of this country.

With that said, I understand your concern as well. We don't need people being wreckless - hopefully he has his head on straight. I sure hope so, we need more people with that kind of passion.

I gave transparency to the people who donated. The people acting the most concerned about it are people who didn't do jack shit. Read the long post above.

actually brent...it doesn't work that way. it's not for a select few. transaprency is for the masses so they can determine how to proceed on their own-- bottom line info from FEC records.

based on the response you have here--it's very one sided & people need to see the msgs you no longer have......imho.

just put this to bed by responding in a transparent manner. that's all ;(

I listened to him speak at the Rally for the Republic- seemed perfectly rational to me.

I also spoke to him for a short time at Ronstock. Seemed like a nice guy- certainly not radical or aggressive.

As soon as I can dig up my military ID, I'm going to scan it and join his organization- Iraq Veterans Against the War ( ivaw.org ).

Adam didn't ask for any of this, he should be this or he is to that!!!! Why don't some of you ask him some questions on his blog first?

hey

I met adam and he is a light in our movement and im sure he is proud to stand tall with us all.
ADAM made a special trip to our ronstock08 event and slept by our campfire with us, to be with us:) GOD BLESS ADAM, a light in our life and movement:)

Kokesh is an inspiring, passionate speaker, sure. But compare his demeanor to Ron Paul's. They are completely different. Kokesh's intensity frightens many people away.

Ron Paul's calm, good-natured presentation style :o and willingness to listen to any inane question he's asked and really try to respond is what makes him attractive to such a wide spectrum of people.

They are not really comparable in any sense, and I wouldn't support an organization headed by a more militant leader, unless of course that became necessary for survival, in which case I'd be seeking out Kokesh wherever he might be to join up with him. But that's not where we are at right now.

Um, is that not EXACTLY what I set out to do? ???

I have ASKED him how we might be able to help HIM. I have asked him FOR exactly nothing.

Yes.
