The other side knew one weakness that US has. The US economy. The US economy will not like these conflicts on many fronts.

"Good investment" might likely bite Mitt Romney.

Yeah forget all of that above. What will happen is Iran is going to announce in advance a strike on only military targets. They will send all their old junk, not their latest hardware and it will all be shot down, maybe a few will hit. Everybody saves face and life goes on. This is how it always has been done.

There have been some delays as the PMU's and Hezbollah and the SA are moving lots of stuff out of warehouses and known locations today that will be hit. Not in Lebanon, but in Syria and Iraq. The other delay is Shoigu's last-minute visit to Tehran. The IOF was hit pretty hard by Al-Qassam in Khan Younis. Shoigu's sudden trip is likely meant not to merely coordinate the influx of new equipment and Russian specialists, but to set up a joint structure in case of large escalation. I don't expect Putin to allow Shoigu to stay in Tehran when the strikes are launched. Once he's back, there will be a short window of a few hours, then if not, probably not until at least 7-8 hours after that, meaning tomorrow. So, it's difficult to say if it will happen in 2-5 hours or in 12-15 hours. Additionally, there is a possibility that even more delay could occur, if they find advantages in the delay. That is unlikely, however, as Israel would sense it and pre-empt bigger.

Thought we left Iraq

An unspecified number of U.S. personnel were injured in a suspected rocket attack on Al Asad Air Base in Iraq on Monday, a defense spokesperson told Task & Purpose.

“Initial indications are that several U.S. personnel were injured,” the spokesperson said in a statement. “Base personnel are conducting a post-attack damage assessment. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.”

No information was immediately available about how many Americans were wounded or the severity of their injuries.

This is a breaking news story. It will be updated as more information becomes available.

More indications the Iranian response will leave Israel with reasons not to escalate to full war.

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah is scheduled to address on Tuesday, August 6, a mourning ceremony held to commemorate the Islamic Resistance Commander Sayyed Fuad Shokr one week after his martyrdom.
Sayyed Shokr, aka Sayyed Mohsen, embraced martyrdom on Tuesday, July 30, in an Israeli airstrike on Haret Hreik in Beirut’s Dahiyeh, which also left six more martyrs and over 70 injuries.
Hezbollah Media Relations indicated in a statement that the ceremony will be held at Sayyed Al-Shuhada Complex at 17:00 (Beirut Time).

Nasrallah's speech is highly likely to be streamed from an undisclosed location. If Israel attacks the Complex during this ceremony, Hezbollah would retaliate with real war. You can be sure there are some in Israel who would like nothing more than smashing the complex during this ceremony.

P.S.
The CIA and Mossad want to overthrow Netanyahu if they must to prevent a world war. Mossad chief Burnea is an opponent of Netanyahu who wanted a hostage deal and Gaza ceasefire many months ago. He met with CIA Director Burns in Rome last week, intentionally conducted when Netanyahu was occupied in the US, behind his back.

The longer this goes, the longer it will look like they are waiting for Tisha b'Av.

This is the last day of the Three Weeks, a period of gradually increasing mourning for national tragedies that occurred during these days. Tisha b’Av is the saddest day of the Jewish year, commemorated by the most intense mourning practices of this period.

As far as Tisha b’Av, the Talmud (Taanis 29a) says the date was established as a day of mourning because God metaphorically said, “Since you cried for no reason, I’ll give you something to cry about!”

Was this the connotation of Nasrallah's statement: ""You laughed a bit, but you will cry a lot. " ?

The primary tragedies we mourn on Tisha b’Av are the destructions of the two Temple, each of which was destroyed on this date – the first by the Babylonians and the second, hundreds of years later, by the Romans. Each destruction resulted in an exile, the latter of which we are still experiencing.
Other tragedies we recognize on this date include the destruction of the city of Beitar in 133 CE, effectively ending Bar Kochba’s revolt against the Roman occupiers, and the subsequent plowing of the Temple Mount by the Romans.
Many later tragedies also occurred on this date, including the expulsion of Jews from England in 1290 and from Spain in 1492.

Hmm! Aug 12/13 ???
