Study Says White Extremists Have Killed More Americans in the U.S. Than Jihadists Since 9/11

Radical Islamists were also indicted more frequently than non-Muslim extremists and served longer sentences

Since 9/11, white right-wing terrorists have killed almost twice as many Americans in homegrown attacks than radical Islamists have, according to research by the New America Foundation.

In their June study, the foundation decided to examine groups “engaged in violent extremist activity” and found that white extremists were by far the most dangerous. They pointed to the recent Emanuel AME Church shooting in Charleston, S.C., and the 2012 attack on a Sikh temple in Wisconsin, as well as many lesser-known attacks on Jewish institutions and on police. They found that 48 people were killed by white terrorists, while 26 were killed by radical Islamists, since Sept. 11.

The study also found that the criminal justice system judged jihadists more harshly than their non-Muslim counterparts, indicting them more frequently than non-jihadists and handing down longer sentences.

It was 3 shooters, but the bodies were so mutilated by police gunfire that it ended up being 2 whole bodies.

Motive still not known. My guess at this time. Based on weapons and bomb preparations, they were certainly getting ready for something. But was this their target? Or did something happen at the party which set him off and he decided to retaliate on this occasion instead of waiting for whatever his real target was?

You should have seen him! The dog was huge! Fiery eyes and sharp fangs! He nearly tore my leg off before I was able to chase him away! It was a whole pack- at least thirty of them!

In case this was another Miriam Carey killing type event where cops killed suspect in the heat of "chase" of car from which "shots were fired" according to "media reports" by the dark skin color driver who turned out to be unarmed mother with 5 bullets in the back of her head.. media should not be allowed to do cover up. Hopefully Obama team is more vigilant since that shooting.

UPDATE: Officials have confirmed the SUV the suspects used in the San Bernardino shooting had a Utah license plate but the vehicle was rented days ago in California.

The shootings in San Bernardino were originally thought to have a possible Utah connection, as CNN reported the black SUV the suspects used to get away from police in while exchanging gunfire had Utah license plates.

Thursday morning California law enforcement confirmed the vehicle did have Utah tags but that the vehicle was rented in California days before the shooting.

I don't believe the gathering was the target. I do believe something set him off. This should be able to be sussed from victim interviews.
Though the number of shooters are in question ballistic forensics should be able to determine if there was a third shooter.
C.S.I. our law enforcement are not. It could take months.
And even then the information released will be edited due to "National Security issues."

Farook traveled to Saudi Arabia in 2013 during the hajj pilgrimage to Mecca and again in July 2014 for nine days to pick up Tashfeen Malik and bring her to the U.S. on a K-1 fiancee visa. Neither trip lasted very long, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss internal assessments.

The official has seen no record of Farook traveling to Pakistan, as the assistant director for the FBI's Los Angeles field office announced earlier today.

A man was seen running from the gun battle on East San Bernardino Avenue on Wednesday and was detained. Police later determined that the man was not a suspect.

If I were in charge I would simply try to determine if the chick involved had her travel arrangements from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia implemented by anyone who was on their watch list. If that were the case I think it'd qualify as terrorism. And they should announce it's terrorism at that point.

As to your earlier point that it seems as if Farook could have pulled the trigger here on his own, I would say that's irrelevant. Whether you were part of the orchestra or whether you flew off the handle and killed someone off duty you still belong to the same enemy.

Are you kidding? The odds of so many such incidents happening in such close proximity to drills is astronomical. These kinds of drills are not common at all!

What else does a SWAT team train for?

Active-shooter scenarios are their chances to play heroes, why do you think they wouldn't train regularly for those types of calls?

We have yet to see an official photo, so still no word on how hot she is.

Some observers are concerned about the awkwardness of meeting your 72 virgins with your wife in tow.

One of the two people accused of killing 14 at a holiday party in California posted an online statement pledging allegiance to a leader of the Islamic State militant group, CNN reported on Friday, citing U.S. officials.

Tashfeen Malik, 27, and her husband, Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, were killed in a shootout with police hours after the Wednesday massacre at the Inland Regional Center social services agency in San Bernardino, about 60 miles (100 km) east of Los Angeles. The attack was the deadliest mass shooting the United States has experienced in three years.

Malik, a Pakistani native who had been living in Saudi Arabia when she married Farook, posted an online statement of support for a leader of Islamic State on an account using a name other than her own, CNN said. The attack in San Bernardino appeared to be inspired by - but not directed by - the militant group.

The investigation has been focused on the motivation for the attack with officials including President Barack Obama and San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan saying it may have been motivated by extremist ideology.

The couple left behind a 6-month old daughter. Farook's brother-in-law, Farhan Khan, told NBC News he had begun legal proceedings to adopt the girl and was "very upset and angry" at Farook.

"You left your 6-month-old daughter," Khan said. "In this life some people cannot have kids. God gave you a gift of a daughter. And you left that kid behind ... What did you achieve?"

Twenty-one people were wounded in the attack, the worst gun violence in the nation since the December 2012 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.

Farook, a U.S. citizen born in Illinois, was the son of Pakistani immigrants, said Hussam Ayloush, head of the Los Angeles area chapter of the Muslim advocacy group Council on American-Islamic Relations.

Christian Nwadike, who worked with Farook for five years, told CBS that his co-worker had been different since he returned from Saudi Arabia.

"I think he married a terrorist," Nwadike said.

Investigators are reviewing the couples' computers and cellphones to see if they had browsed jihadist websites or had contact with militant groups, according to officials in Washington familiar with the investigation.

Police said the couple had two assault-style rifles, two semi-automatic handguns and 1,600 rounds of ammunition in their vehicle, with 12 pipe bombs found in their home.
