what is Newsroom? Who is Aaron Sorkin? Apparently not popular enough for me to even know what the hell it is.
I think we're going to be spied on whatever device we use to watch media/communicate.I bought a new laptop and had to sign up to a microsoft account to access it.I put tape over the built-in camera but I had to give my password to access my email etc. They're centralising all our data and that will be used for tracking and also predictive purposes. The BBC was SUCH leftist propaganda I just couldn't possibly watch it anymore.Haven't had a tv for almost five years.
They are called (by themselves mostly) 'Aunty/Auntie Beeb'.It's a state organ and it's trying to .... us.
That's awesome, the dipshit is all "fuck freedom, Ron Paul is a racist so freedom is bullshit and we certainly don't need it!"
The only people stupider than the writer of this show are the people that watch it.
I watched the newsroom for 1 episode and realized it was liberal propaganda garbage. Some of my friends love it, but I just can't watch that shit.
I almost feel I am watching this show in some sort of third person view if I am describing it right. Kind of like the show is not targeted to me but rather to people that are easily enamored with the career it portrays and the characters. A weak type of average American that easily buys into the propaganda sold on the show or any MSM news network for that matter that will consume the narrative and dialogue for the purpose of echoing it accordingly.
That viewer will pick up on the eye rolls at the mention of Ron Paul's polices, the drunken inarticulate supporter and of course that Ron Paul is a kooky racist. The message was clear to them, if I support Ron Paul policies I will be going against societal norms. The dialogue was perfect in that respect and will serve it's purpose with those folks accordingly.
To me this seemed to be the same strategy set out by Sorkin in this show and West Wing. Progressive education of past history for the low information voter.

on windows 8 you dont need a microsoft account, you can create what's called a local account instead. They try to trick you into thinking a microsoft account is required.
but but he doesn't want clean air or water!
People actually watch this pretentious, self-righteous, thinly-disguised political propaganda?
Yeah, srsly! Da fuq? Y'all should've ditched yer TVs like yours truly years ago. Not only is it lame, they will soon be used as Orwellian spy cams ala 1984, I assure you.![]()

Yeah i prefer the following british Accents: Northern England, Heavy Welsh, General Scottish. There's another reason they do that too, which is that they know ideas sound more authoritative, and are more likely to be accepted as true, when said with a BBC English accent. That's why all these American news channels are outsourcing their pundit jobs to people like Piers Morgan, because weak-minded 20-something American Hipster trendies think "accent = sophistication and intellect."
