"1.5 Million and I'm in!"

I think we try to get him to $1 million BEFORE Sept 10 and see what he does. Look like around $70,000 to make it to $1 million

I have a different idea. I say we sit on our money and not give him another dime until he announces, regardless of how much he has. He gave us the goal to reach $750k in that money bomb. We surpassed it. Now the ball's in his court. And that's where it should stay until he gives us something more than just another phony donation goal.

Maybe we need to re-focus and concentrate on getting 1 instead of spreading ourselves too thin.

I'd prioritize Peter Schiff over Rand Paul.

What do you think?

From my view:
1) Peter is more tied into economics and markets - it's what we need to fix the economy.

2) Peter has the lead in donations.

3) Peter can really hit hard and take on the critics, with on-the-fly free market arguments.

If we're going to do that, we should focus on Rand. His is a much cheaper race, and he's already committed.

I agree...spread the word...get peter to one million now..

After that all cards should be on the table...we can do 70k no problem.

I am going to go and donate 100 right now for that cause...

I don't like what Peter is doing either, but our number one goal must be to get him elected into the Senate, not to prove a point. We must forgive and forget, and fully support every choice he makes.

Donate what you can. If Peter can't commit, then unfortunately that's his problem, not our fault.

It's not our fault, but if we donated, then it is our problem, because we'll be out that money. I already donated back when he said his goal was 750k. I trusted him. Now if he decides not to run (and the only thing I can conclude from the fact he hasn't announced yet is that he still might not run), then I will have effectively been duped into wasting money by trusting that false goal.

You seriously don't think you're going not to get your money back if Peter doesn't run? Do you really think Peter will risk his lifetime of future earnings for 1.5 million dollars?

Some supporters are putting a moneybomb together for Rand using a UFC gimmick, what about putting one together for Peter using a wrestling gimmick since Linda McMahon is supposedly going to enter the fray?

I don't see the big deal about $1.5 million. He's going to need a lot more than that before it's all said and done. Though I do agree it would be easier to get him there if he announced his candidacy.

What the hell? He raised the stakes again. He wants people to "ante up" but we dont even know if he's playing or not. I agree with a previous poster, shit or get off the pot.

To be fair theres no real proof he said "give me 1.5 million and I'll run." The original poster could've misheard him. I'll wait for more proof.

I am under the impression that he will announce after he hits 1million, whenever that may be.

If you don't want to donate anymore until he announces... then don't. Either he will run and you will be satisfied or he won't and you will get your money back. All of this complaining is counter-productive and a bit childish.

SO TRUE!

Want to come back to this thread after Peter has won his Senate seat!

Childish is a bit of an overstatement. Grown adults watch how they part with their money, esp if things are tight. I like Peter as much as anyone but he needs to get the ball rolling. The suspense is killing me.

Why are you people complaining about donating money whether he is in or not? Does it really matter what title his campaign has? He has said "I WILL GIVE BACK ALL OF YOUR MONEY IF I DON'T RUN". You put the money in if you can afford it, if not, keep it. Other people who haven't donated and would if he declared he was in might not know he is willing to give 100% of the money back. So for that I can understand, but give me a break. We need him in the Senate more than we don't need him there. Put up or shut up mail him if you have problems. When the hell is the next money bomb? I need to start saving!!! WHO'S WITH ME!?
