HUMOR: "What I think I do" pic for Libertarians floating around FB!

as heavenlyboy said, this was off topic, but here is a response. What an-caps/voluntaryists are trying to do is make society in general understand that the state is illegitimate and unethical, because that is necessary to reach a stateless society and keep it. Society has already accepted...

Palin to endorse 2012 choice on Greta tuesday [MOD NOTE: Speculation]

Why would anyone want her to endorse Ron? She is such a polarizing figure, I don't want any association with her.

Guy gets yelled at by a Prius driver for having a diesel truck

First of all, she wasn't even in a parking spot, she was in the middle of the driveway. I doubt she was isolating herself. Second, she probably started yelling at them before she walked over and they started filming then.

Looking for a good article on full legalization

David Friedman takes a utilitarian approach as opposed to the natural law and he says "But I think we must be open to the possibility that, given our circumstances and our society, no such solution is possible, that the overuse of recreational drugs is simply one of those evils that must be...

    Texas 2011 Election Ballot (Propositions)

I agree with this. Prop 1 says nothing about raising taxes on anyone, those would remain the same. This just allows for tax cuts for certain people. I think most people here would support any tax cuts for anyone.

Lew Rockwell calls for repudiation of student loans

While bankruptcy protection might not get rid of ALL debt, as far as I understand it, it is the government stepping in and discharging a large chunk of debt. Thus I do not support bankruptcy for any debt. I do not think the government should be allowed to step in and break voluntary contracts...

Lew Rockwell calls for repudiation of student loans

Wow a lot of people here seem to be libertarians except for when it does not personally benefit them. No one is forced into student loans, they are all voluntary contracts. As bad as the banks are, that does not mean it is ok for the government to force them to get rid of all those voluntary...

Michele Bachmann Michele Bachmann: Iraq and Libya Should Reimburse the U.S. for 'Liberating' Them

By this logic we can be truly rich! Invade countries without their consent...proclaim them liberated...Profit!

Herman Cain 84% of Americans would have their taxes increased under 9-9-9

I agree that his plan would raise taxes for most people, but I am a little confused about how they came to 84%. In the report it says that "The bases of all three taxes are essentially the same as the base of a national sales tax" and that "the three taxes combined are equivalent to a 25.38...

Me too. Drudge this guys! Especially since there is a pic of Romney with the cadets on Drudge right now.

Nathan Deal just murdered Troy Davis

Just FYI, the death penalty ends up being way more expensive than keeping a person alive for life. You can do an internet search and find plenty of studies on the subject.

Gingrich: "History will recognize Ron Paul" as "first serious national leader" on Fed

It's a possibility haha. I don't think he will get one, but it is obvious that he is trying.

Gingrich: "History will recognize Ron Paul" as "first serious national leader" on Fed

Newt has been setting himself up this whole time to get a cabinet position for whoever is elected.

    Lysander Spooner

It does not bother me. Also from wikipedia: Spooner was wrong about wage labor, as were several other individualist anarchist. This group is mostly labor, not socialism as a whole. I consider myself a libertarian, not an anarchist, and there are several things I don't quite agree with him...
