You don't need to be rich or wealthy to immigrate to Canada. We accept about 1% of our population in immigrants each year and not all are wealthy.

You don't if you have some viable reason. Like you are a refugee or have family here. But we do not legally admit poor people without skills....they would not be productive members. Contrary to what some have said in this thread Canada has a very discriminatory immigration policy.

If you are talking about the North Americal Union I don't know why we would need guns if we ever united countries. Canada would not want a war, we are peaceful. I don't think many people needed guns when they created the European union, so eventhough I disagree with the North American Union, I don't think we will need violence.

And more unarmed people get killed by criminals... There was some city in the US that made a law that EVERY household HAD to have a gun, and voila! The crime rate went down dramatically...
