The elections in Canada are WAY more fair than in America. We never even get a majority party in power anymore. Negotiations between the parties need to take place to get things done. It might sound shitty, but at least we don't have one party rule all here.

We may be more socialist than the US....but we don't really pay any more income tax.....and our government is more decentralized with the provinces making there own decisions and able to opt out of federal laws.

But to imigrate here you either have to be rich, persecuited or really well educated.

Good choice. I did that a year ago (before I heard about Ron Paul), and I'm glad I did.

The only reason I'd move out of the USA is if there was a country with more freedoms not less.

Once you get out of the USA, you realize how few freedoms you really have there. It's astonishing, really. The US is amazingly socialist / fascist -- most people just don't see it, because it happened so slowly.

Some twelve or so years straight of continuous budget surpluses though, and taxes have been moving down bit by bit every year.

The province of Alberta also completely paid down their debt in 2005 and owe absolutely nothing to anybody. Not too bad.
