You don't win by quitting... (Ron is still a Republican)

Matt You said to listen to the tone of his voice

Is there a video?

Your defeatism is not welcome here.

We lost because we didn't have the numbers. But we are growing, they are shrinking, we are the future, they are the past. Next time aroudn we'll be even bigger and will have a better chance. That is of course as long as those who love liberty don't quit or give up.

Oh, excuse me, is this YOUR forum? That can't be because this is a liberty forum where dissent IS welcome, unlike the GOP!

FURTHER: Our numbers ARE growing, but we don't have to grow them in a corrupt party -- it is NOT the only option and people have differing opinions. If other opinions are not welcome to you, then maybe you can just rule your own little kingdom somewhere. And, I am not going to be so childish and petty to un-rep you like you did me.

Don't bother replying to me anymore because I am leaving this thread - not at your suggestion. The bloomberg interview video (with Ron saying he is not in the Republican party) is on a thread of it's own and I see no reason to keep bumping this hostile thread.

Dissent and defeatism are two different things.

The Republican Party is the only viable vehicle in front of us at this time. Ron Paul understands this as evidenced by him being a Republican for dozens of years.

viable vehicle? It literally drove us around in circles, tossed us out, and ran over us. You think we should hop back on?

I resigned my precinct committee position and changed my registration last night, during Mitts speech,
That may have felt good, but it didn't accomplish anything. Some neocon is probably going to take your slot. I urge you to reconsider!

Ye of little faith. Did you think it was going to be easy???????

That's because we didn't have enough people on board to help controll the steering. We are close, but not there yet. That's why it's imperative that we maintain a united cohesive front, and keep going, so that in 2016 we WILL have the people in place and have the groundwork laid.

But if we are to have a chance in 2016, we must defeat Romney now! agree?

Don't leave they told the Robert Taft supporters, don't leave they told the Goldwater supporters, don't leave they told the Ron Paul supporters, we can change!

Taft and Goldwater didn't have the Internet to circumvent the establishment and media; we do!

Oh, and Goldwater won the nomination too.

It wasn't about accomplishing anything, it was about retaining my dignity. I live in the heart of neocon central. Paul Bremer's nephew is our county chair, the Air Force academy is here, as well as focus on the family. There is simply no one in the GOP worth endorsing in my neck of the woods, since they are mostly focused on starting the next war and protecting us from the gays. And the 400 members of our meetup have dropped off the radar, faster than in '08 (in no small part to Matt Holdridge/Benton stabbing us in the back).

There are many ways to fight for liberty. Especially in a state with so many ballot initiatives. There's also working within the LP (which was founded here in Colorado Springs). It doesn't particularly appeal to me, but at least I won't have to make apologies for what I do. And nothing precludes me with helping a fellow Ron Pauler with a run (although they play dirty here, so I don't expect to see any try again anytime soon).

And yet....we didn't. (Circumvent the media). The Doug Wead interview confirms this. If we were where we needed to be alternative media wise than we wouldn't have needed to buckle under the Mitt Romney "A-bomb" threat. Treating RevPAC and Tom Woods as second class citizens for some odd reason didn't help. (Yeah, someone PM'd me the reason. And the reasoning was extremely stupid IMO.)

Love him, or hate him, Alex Jones' new media outreach is light years ahead of C4L. Let me know when the C4L equivalent of the Infowars nightly news comes online.

Oh, and Goldwater won the nomination too.

....and got crushed in the general. If Goldwater's opponent had treated in the primary the way he was treated in the general (and the way Mitt Romney allegedly threatened to treat Ron Paul) I doubt he would have been the nominee in the first place.

YOUR GOP shilling isn't welcome around here. The fact that you neg rep someone for disagreeing with you shows how petty you are. By the way, now that the 2012 campaign is winding down, who is going to be signing your checks? C4L? LPAC? RNC? GOP?

Goldwater's campaign, nor his grassroots supporters, megaphoned their battle plans, either. We did.

Everyone is just frustrated and it's difficult to watch meltdowns that threaten to destroy so much of what has been gained.
