There's at least two good counties that will be electing delegates. I think you know which I'm talking about. And my optimistic theory right now is: why elect so many alternates anyway? Maybe there are always lots of delegates whose schedules change and they end up not being able to make it. And so maybe there is a reasonable, or at least non-zero, chance that an alternate will end up actually being able to step in and be a real delegate.
