Wyoming is holding caucuses now

All's still sounding very quiet from the Fat Lady's direction...

The conventions are where the real action happens; where actual delegates to national are chosen. The campaign could still help big time with winning the conventions, actually, if anyone wants to try to convince them that would be worth doing.

We won Niobrara County last night (this county is important, even though it's the smallest county in WY, because it is 1 of 12 counties electing a delegate to the National Convention):

Exactly. Realize this, people: the straw poll tally does not matter -- ESPECIALLY in Wyoming! In the other states it might at least be an indicator of something. Here, the counties all have equal power, in that they all get one delegate. It's like the Senate. Population is totally irrelevant. So our 9 RP people in Niobrara elect one delegate to the National Convention (Directly! No other layers!) just the same as Romney's 113 people in Uinta.

And the counties that we're doing the best in are disproportionately the ones which select the actual delegate this cycle (half the counties select a delegate, the other half select an alternate). We have a good chance of coming out of Wyoming with more delegates than we got in South Carolina, and maybe as many as we got in New Hampshire.

That Platte County result is the weirdest one so far. Wow Santorum ran away with it. Maybe some church had an organized "let's all go to the caucus" event. Someone did something, because that isn't normal.

This is in a county with a sizable Mormon population. Romney's son has a ranch in this county. Good work Ron Paul people in WY. You guys did well in most of the final counties.
