Almost anybody does not necessarily include Ron Paul... and if it does, he's not the man of integrity that I thought he was.Almost anybody would accept VP if asked.

If the alternative is RP retiring to TX never to be seen/heard from again . . .
I say YES !

Some people in this thread seem to have answered the poll with the bizarre assumption that 'if Romney picks Ron Paul as his VP, then Ron must have sold out,' as if that's the only possible explanation.
Why does Ron Paul have to sell out in order to be the VP in this entirely hypothetical scenario? This entire thread is one big 'what if?' question and yet some people here answer it so matter-of-factly. Why can't Romney pick Ron because he wants to win? Why can't Romney make some serious policy changes that would impress Ron?
We all know Romney will never pick Ron anyway, thus we all know the thread poll is moot anyway.
I would vote for it. Do you think the media would turn down coverage of a speech by the VP against the Pres. Ron would have 4 years to criticise Romney, and further spread the message of Liberty. Besides, even if Romney doesn't allow Ron to do anything, there is one Constitutional position that Romney can't take away... President of the Senate. Ron could be on Capitol Hill every day battling Harry Reid.
19 mins of flip flopping! SUUUUUURE I would love to see Ron Paul standing next to this guy! Barf
That is true but the worse attacks came from the gay/lesbian community and sympathizers and from Obama's unscrupulous campaign operatives. Few people understand how and why Sarah Palin is a very strong person capable of making the most difficult decisions and being able to live with insurmountably obstacles that impede her progress but overcoming all of them anyway and achieving success when the odds against that are daunting. Dr. Paul being a man cannot ever be able to match Sarah Palin woman instincts, but if he had just half of Palin's will power he would be now beating Romney and Obama together by 10 points.
A Sarah Palin / Ron Paul presidency would shake this country and put it back in the shape it deserves to be.

Palin won't get the Pres nomination so it won't arise. She might get VP if someone wants to appeal to a certain group, but I don't see Romney picking her.
The best one possible won't be on Romney's ticket. Take that to the bank.If Ron Paul is Romney's VP, he'll have more influence on the Romney Presidency than he would have if he was sitting home in Texas.
Ron Paul would do a better job as VP than anyone else, and if asked, he should accept and probably would.
There will be a VP, you know this, right? I would think that we would want the best one possible.

Well, a lot of our theorizing involves black swan events. Most of the black swan events involve Romney getting eaten by sharks, or something that means Romney won't be there at the end of August. If Romney isn't there, it means that Romney won't be the nominee, and it will be someone else. In that scenario, all bets are off, and Palin could get the 1144 in that case.
Sarah Palin does not have a will power advantage over Ron Paul. Palin is hot. Palin also has the ability to talk for a pretty long time without making it clear where she stands on an issue, which allows her to keep support from people on both sides of an issue. If Sarah Palin was 76 years old, we would not be talking about Sarah Palin. Sarah Palin will not be as hot as she is now, when she's 76 years old. Sarah Palin does not take positions that most Republicans do not like (see: Foreign Policy). Sarah Palin is extremely likeable and charismatic. She also hasn't been a close friend of Netanyahu for 36 years, as Romney has. She doesn't have close ties to global elites.
But, will power? The quitting didn't help with that. Most people would not say that Palin has a ton of will power. Ron Paul has been fighting for what is right for 36 years, leading the delegation for Reagan in 1976, not caring what other people say. Ron Paul has the will power advantage over Palin. Likeability, charisma, fame, popularity, hotness, not elite, those are the Palin strengths.
Exactly.
I hope in that event it would be Ron but there would allot we would have to contend with. Besides the media, Santorum would probably be the biggest threat.
I do not think Palin could pull it off but would be a player. Like Rubio she would likely end supporting one of the main players and as someones VP pick. The main players would be Santorum, Jeb Bush and Christie. Unfortunately the media would be in tears in celebration as they push Jeb Bush as the savior of the GOP.
