Ron Paul would be expected to support all of Romney's positions. Get real.
One thing I don't get: If Romney chooses his VP next week (and it's not Ron), isn't he just inviting even MORE embarrassment at the convention?
Oh, my...What a fine mess. LOL
If Romney chose Ron, Rush/Hannity/Erickson/MEDVED/Hewitt/Beck's heads would explode. That alone would be worth it.
And yeah, Romney could prevent a lot of..shall we say...convention embarrassment by choosing Ron, too.
Are we having fun yet?

But Ron can't just be Ron if he accepts the #2 spot on the ticket!!Ron Paul would NEVER do that, get real!
My whole decision I'd vote for it is based on Ron always being Ron.
Yeah, it would be worth it...but that's exactly why he won't do it. Hannity/Beck/Limbaugh are going to be extremely influential in getting out the vote for Romney...it's never a piece of cake to defeat an incumbent president, and he won't want to do anything to piss off those 3.If Romney chose Ron, Rush/Hannity/Erickson/MEDVED/Hewitt/Beck's heads would explode. That alone would be worth it.

Ron would have to -- as Carlybee said -- support all of Romney's positions.
The #1 rule of a VP candidate: do no harm to the POTUS candidate.
If Romney knows Ron Paul wouldn't lead the cheers for him, it would be stupid for Mittens to pick Ron.
I'm gonna vote for Romney even if he doesn't choose Dr. Paul as his running mate. I don't give a damn. I can't stand anything that comes out of a liberal's mouth...they make me sick!

Ron Paul would never serve on a ticket with Sarah Palin. That would be like Einstein serving as second banana to one of the muppets. Apologies to the muppets.
In the days immediately after she was picked, though, lots of people on lewrockwell.com were saying very positive things about her.
And also, before she was even mentioned as the running mate, in the Ron Paul 2008 campaign, some people on THIS forum were mentioning her as a possible RON PAUL running mate. I remember.
She changed after being picked.
She was attacked by the media worse than Ron Paul was. Yes, in 2007, she was the Ron Paul VP. I have no idea if she "changed". She was attacked by the media. If Ron Paul was as well known and popular as Sarah Palin, the media would've torn him down as well instead of the "mostly ignore, small attacks when necessary" approach they took with Ron Paul.
Do they make some sort of deal, where RP doesn't have to keep his mouth shut and can keep pushing liberty? Or does he go back burner like every other VP
Almost anybody would accept VP if asked.
