Will Rand vote to confirm Hagel?

I hope he votes to confirm Hagel. Hagel is more non-interventionist, which is good for us, plus the neocons hate him.

The logical thing for Rand to do would be abstain from voting at all. If he feels compelled to vote and he doesn't vote yes, what does that tell us after the way the Kerry confirmation went down?

Cochran, Johanns, Murkowski, Chambliss. He only needs one or two more to be safely confirmed. I'm sure they will find it and everyone else will vote against (including Rand) making it 61-39 or around that as I predict.

There isn't going to be any attempted filibuster of Hagel's nomination. That doesn't happen with cabinet nominations.

It CAN happen and has happened before. Cornyn has said 'all options on the table' when asked about it but now he's only 2 votes away from 60 so I imagine there won't be one.

They're saying that so far there are only two Republicans who are supporting Hagel's nomination, and Rand isn't one of them. So it seems as though Rand will vote against Hagel's nomination. I don't have a problem with this due to Hagel's anti Israel comments and other baggage. I do care about his overall foreign policy rhetoric and will be watching that very closely.
