Will MSNBC include Ron in the Jan. 24 Florida debate?

Based on polls I don't think we meet the criteria for inclusion in the debate, which, I believe are, polling above 10% nationally or 10% in Florida, with allowance made for the margin of error.

However, based on performance, Ron should be included in the debate. He has beaten Giuliani in four of five states, he has beaten Thompson in three of five states, and in Nevada he beat every major candidate except Romney.

One of CNN's criteria for inclusion in its debate later this month is placing at least fourth in one of the primaries. MSNBC should use a similar criterion for inclusion in its debate.

The MSNBC debate will be Jan. 24. I suspect that MSNBC will try to exclude Ron from the debate. The last I saw it was saying that the candidates to be invited were TBD- to be determined.

Well, MSNBC pulled these shenanigans with Kucinich and got him ejected from the debate. I would expect them to do the same thing with Ron.

There's a Difference

The Difference is that Kucinich didn't pull any numbers ahead of "front-runners."

In one poll, Insider Advantage, we hit 10.5% with the margin of error. Donno if that counts for MSNBC or not, but it's there on RCP.

Which goes to show just how different the two gentlemen's progress has been. Ron Paul is making major strides in his campaign, sadly, his friend Dennis has not made such an impressive show on his side of the fence.

Aren't we fourth overall ? Thats pretty good ,maybe they should leave out the fringe candidate Ghouliani .

Link, please. I just looked on RCP and we're at 4%. There's a CNN poll that shows us at 6% though.

But if the exclude under 10%, that means Fred Thompson would also be exlcluded, because according to RCP, he's polling at 9.3%.

How could MSNBC exclude someone that has beaten Ghoul is several states, but include Ghoul? And has more delegates than Ghoul?

Besides, I think the liberal networks like having Paul in the mix, as a foil to the other candidates. It helps with ratings.

FOX is different, they have an agenda.

It says on the official Ron Paul website that he will be there for both debates. So I assume he was invited.
