My wife went to vote this afternoon and they would not let her vote because her voter info has her registered at her old address which puts her polling place way out in Scottsdale. We live in Peoria, Scottsdale is about an hour drive with traffic.

They wouldnt even let her vote with a provisional ballot. I dont understand why she has to be at the polling place closest to her address, shes registered and they have her information on file.

Blah.

It's like that everywhere. You have to vote, in person, at your precinct. It's not like a bank.

Polls aren't closed - get in the car and drive to Scottsdale.

Wow, that's weird. Try another polling station. I'm not sure about Arizona, in Solano County, California (my county), I went to the wrong polling station and they were going to let me vote on a provisional ballot. I decided just to go to my precinct instead.

Suck it up and make the drive :)

You're supposed to update your address with the DMV within 30 days of moving anywhere, BTW. Just for future reference.

I don't think they are being overly anal. They are just trying to prevent vote fraud with the policy.

Evening traffic goes East to West on the 101. You're not going to hit traffic driving from Peoria to Scottsdale in the evening, just in the morning jams. Should be cleared up by the time you start driving back.

Please make the drive! I know it's far, but please go :(

Also have her bring alternate forms of id / address confirmation like utility bills so there's plenty of proof. Please go!

Hope you went and made it a fun trip, a nice dinner out and a great time.
