Why girls get better grades

My son is Number one at his High School of 2k kids. My daughter tests off the charts but is lazy and under performs.

My two oldest are just the opposite. Both highly intelligent, but the girl can do anything she puts her hands to, the first time. The boy is lazy. It's just personality. The younger girl is lazier than her older brother, and the youngest boy is as industrious a his older sister. Again....personality.

I was once told by an old submariner "girls lower morale" which is why they aren't allowed on submarines.

As of early 2012, this policy is no longer in effect. Everyone I was deployed with always agreed that women increased morale... did this old submariner not like women?

Not for nothing, but the fact that the most important job women have on Earth is making babies, it's a shame that we try to make women into men and men into apes.

All I know from my life working as an adult is that smart men are much harder working and better working than any female, period. Of course there are exceptions, but men are vastly superior. It's not even close.

Note: Making and mothering babies is the most important job on Earth by the way. That's why any of us are here...or even that Jesus came as a man...because we all had mothers.

I generally agree with this.

In my working life, I have had male managers, female managers, a gay manager, and have managed males and females.

Working for a guy is much easier, do your work, make sure it's right, and try to own your projects. Insert your opinions when you feel it benefits the organization. This works a lot better if you know your manager is fairly conservative and doesn't go for much of the corporate "diversity" bullshit.

Working for a woman is much more difficult. I hate to sound sexist, but many women, including my wife, fail miserably at logic and general problem solving. (part of the reason why many women are not libertarian or drawn to libertarianism or conservatism). I've found that women are much better multi-taskers in the fact they can "do" more at once, but nothing they are doing is getting done well, or completely. Almost every woman I've worked for is a stickler for "team playing" and "team building", even if it means killing the one guy who pretty much does all the work. Everyone much "share equally" in success.

In managing, males are generally easier to manage, because they don't freak out the minute you challenge their dedication or work product.

I'm an IT contractor, after working in parole in the NJ prison systemso, I've probably had a good 15 or so jobs in New Jersey and North Carolina. Not an expert, but have a ton of real world examples of which I speak.

I have a daughter. I'm trying to teach her problem solving skills, and to focus on the task at hand.

Imagine there are only 4 females on the boat. All beautiful. All celibate. Or, maybe, they're all just sleeping with the captain, exclusively. Assuming you aren't the captain, how high is your morale....seriously? Females are a net mission distraction. They may want to be there (wouldn't you want to be the only male on an, otherwise, all female crew?) But, if you want to prove that they add anything to unit effectiveness, create an all female submarine crew, first, and test it against its male counterparts. If the crew performs well, consider integration, then. However, if your argument is that a female presence on board, alone, improves morale, the navy might be better off hiring prostitutes, and swapping them out at each port (or, maybe, you were just thinking of a House Mother?)

When you're a teenage boy, all the schoolgirls seem to look like this:

and some of the teachers seem to look like this:

And you think boys are thinking about learning?! It's why they have to make public education so damned easy! If it weren't for how easy and basic it is, damn near every boy wouldn't get past 8th grade!

I almost feel that men's pity has given many women an unrealistic view of their abilities in some departments.

Thats exactly the way it is. Women get all big head for completing some busy work a male manager gave her to keep busy, then the woman acts like she is above the men who did real work that generated income. And of course they want equal or more pay.

What a bunch of bullshit. I am one of the least PC people on here, and I think you are full of it. Executive type jobs are generally dominated by men because men aren't hampered by maternal instincts ingrained in them through millions of years of evolution. These instincts are in no way a reflection of intelligence, or an end all argument that women can't be successful in these positions. I would even argue that at times these instincts can make women better in positions of power than men, as maternal instincts in the context of rational thought are often a good thing.

Men dominate the sciences because they are evolutionary inclined towards that as well. To argue that women are only successful in these fields out of male pity is ridiculous. I would argue that they are successful because they are as smart as their male counter parts and are interested in the fields.

Now to main issue of the thread, why do women do better in school. Its a combination of the pussification of the American male. Young boys are taught not to compete. That they are good just the way they are. This self-esteem bullshit. Whereas women have more of a chip on their shoulder, as they should. They have been unfairly marginalized throughout history.

Certainly there are other factors, but half the comments in this thread are pretty damn sexist, which doesn't offend me, but does warrant a response. Men should desire to be the provider, it is instinct. But this declining desire is not the result of women taking over out of male pity. No the declining desire is opening up the door for more opportunities for women. The end result is a good thing, though the cause itself is bad.

I would argue that women's gains are the result of personal achievement. Not pity.

Finally, the one place where I do believe men have a legitimate gripe is with how they are portrayed in the media. I am sick of every goddamn commercial and sitcom where the man is a buffoon interested only in sports and unable to make a rational thought beyond his dick. Whereas the woman portrayed is always the bastion of rational thought. I think these stereotypes filter down into the collective psyche of men. It does bother me. Quite a bit.

Anyway enough rambling,

Sincerely,

Slutter McGee

There are always exceptions but male pity and female bonding is a big reason women move up in companies. Not their work. I have seen countless examples of this in my experience, and I have heard of other examples from friends too. One example in particular, a woman lost her job for being completely incompetent, then leaves a voicesmail with another manager crying for her job back. He gave her job back because he felt sorry for her and admitted that. A man cant cry for his job back and get it if he is incompetent.

Exactly. Women pull attitudes that would never fly for men and have to have their hands held to learn tasks, they are not problem solvers and lack ingenuity. The fact that even "dumb" guys are mechanics and have to figure out how things fit in a puzzle and new ways to get parts out, you never get women doing menial work like that with that level of difficulty. They work as secretaries and waitresses, which take close to zero intelligence.

Mods, can we stop having porn in this thread?
What porn? You think this kind of thing-

is "porn"? d00d, that kind of thing can be found in advertisements and even very tame movies/TV. If you want what most think of as pr0n, there's this thing called the internet. google it.

Sorry, I can delete, if you like. I was making a point of what is going on in the minds of most teenage boys while they're at school. The images weren't meant to be disrespectful.

When I was 20, I was a student teach in NYC teaching seniors, so I have to get used to block out "hot students," because I wasn't one of those perv teachers that generate headlines.

Or receptionists. Generally women have more of a helper personailty. They are less likely to see the big picture and run major organizations. And many of the women who do get that far, usually dont deserve it. For me, I would be cautious hiring a woman to a top level position. Especially a good looking woman.

I know, and the point is true. Those thoughts plague men, not just boys. I'm not mad, I'm just hoping no other pics are posted.
