"Why are you here?"

RPF is the first forum I ever joined. I did join RevBox after RPF crashed but haven't been there in a long time. I'm an introvert, my Wife is an extrovert, i guess it gives us a degree of balance. I came here because I wanted Ron Paul to be president and ended up reevaluating my world view. I do admit I get entertainment and social value from these forums, but there's a wealth of knowledge to be had as well.

Well, I don't have paypal account, and I don't feel like setting one up now. But I swear to God I'm buying an annual subscription tomorrow.

I will be contributing to your movement.

I think Ron Paul is a liar, in the sense that he doesn't always tell the truth. Like everyone else. If Ron told people he had a real chance to win then he was either lying or deluded. I think he was lying. He knew exactly what he was doing and there's not really anything wrong with it

A statement of intent and a statement of expectation are NOT the same thing. I believe Ron is very careful about his wording such that he does not lie. I don't believe Ron Paul ever stated that he expected to win or had a real chance, just that that was part of the purpose of the campaign.

By all means, it's a good start, and you shouldn't be criticized for it. It's certainly a way to show that you do want to contribute something to the cause of Liberty. It's a little late for it now, having just past the midterms, but there will be plenty of good Liberty Candidates to donate to in a little over a year. Who knows, by then you might even be willing to volunteer your time and effort to work on a Liberty Candidate's campaign. Doing that might even give you a chance to meet a girl. When you start posting about the donations you've made to Liberty Candidates and the efforts you've made in volunteering for Liberty Candidates' campaigns, you'll suddenly start getting a lot more respect around here.

I don't want "respect". I just hate the insanity that is said about me on here. Some of it so outlandish that its actually offensive.

And dude, I'm into progressive liberal chicks :)

Call it whatever you like. Ok, it'll stop a lot of the insanity that is said about you on here, and people will be much less quick to offend you.

The progressive liberal types, huh? Well, there are quite a few people here who come from that sort of background, and yes, some of them are female. Until 2007-8, most of those who are libertarian have always split fairly evenly between democrats and Republicans (only a tiny percentage actually supported neither), depending on the issues more important to them, and what they saw as the lesser evils in one or the other party's platform. You'll find plenty of "progressive liberals" supporting Liberty Candidates. Again, look at the very wide range of opinions and beliefs here on RPF, many of them could be seen as "progressive" or "liberal" talking points. Foreign policy, the WOD, the WOT, police militarization, etc are just a few examples. Would you not want to be with a girl who had "good" opinions on these issues, just because she called herself a Republican instead of a "progressive liberal"? On it's face, your statement here makes no sense.
