T'would seem that the compelling logic of backing Trump in this scenario has won the day, being second only to those who would cast yet another pointless, ineffective protest vote for the millionth election in a row.

Feels good to cast the protest vote but it's actually a step backwards - voting legitimizes the process and the protest will never be heard, ever - nor would anyone care if it were.
