Who hired this 'Nevada GOP Political Director' from Utah?

You can tell that it wasn't our guys.

"I think when you look at Nevada, it is going to be a very important state for Mitt Romney," Sumsion said. "Certainly Carl is more conservative than Romney, so he will be in a position where he will be able to bring in some of the Paul supporters to support Mitt."

Why doesn't he say 'the GOP nominee' instead of mitt?

Is this Mitt's "transition team" leader guy or some other Utah guy?

Anyway, expect lots of "new" supporters showing up on RPF and DP and other Paul sites claiming their support for Mittens in the coming months. Sounds like this guy here may have sold out to be a pied piper.

The question remains, who hired him? Since when is there a 'political director' rather than the elected chair, who 'leads' Nevada GOP? Unless our guys hired him.

Seems like it was the Nevada GOP Chairman

Despite the cold shoulder, new Nevada Republican Party Chairman Michael McDonald, who was elected with Paul backers' support, has made a couple of new hires and is gearing up for an election-year push

OK, that's cool then. It said to lead the party, and with the shadow party and him mentioning a 'Mitt win', I didn't know what to think.

Sooo, is he a double/tripple stealth agent? Or, are we now pushing Mit? or is Ron Paul gonna be the nominee and we are acting like it while not actiing like it?
My wife has a shirt that says "I'm so confused... wait, maybe I'm not?".

Your wife is in good company.

Wimmer is a really good guy. He narrowly lost a primary but I sense the mid 30s guy has a great political future.

It makes sense to unify behind Romney if you are the GOP. He has won the required amount of delegates, and has practically been the nominee for months. Nobody within the GOP, nor do 80% of the voters, cares about Ron Paul or his supporters at this point.

I fully support people like Rand and Carl to support Romney. It makes them mainstream and acceptable. It would be a different story if Ron Paul had a chance in hades.

Rand is Ron's son, and Ron is still in the race. This guy, is to wonder.

They still do not get it. I will not be getting behind someone just because of the R next to their name. I can speak for a lot of our central committee members who feel the same way. I am invested in their system now and will not go away. The likes of Romney, Heller, Heck and the rest of the Neocons needs to get their ass out of Nevada.

It's not incredibly unusual to have a hired strategist, basically, to direct a party's political activities. The chair still has control of the party but they would hire someone that would advice the best course of action for the party to take to help win in the state, especially in a state as important to the GOP this fall as Nevada.
