who flipped? Palin or Rand?

This is an intresting political marriage. Palin also gains from this, this will help rehabilitate her "conservative" credential for a portion of people after her having supported McCain. She is the endorser.

Maybe Palin does have something between her two ears and flipped. Women can be nasty, claws out.

Ummm... No where on the Huffo link page does it ask "who flipped"?

And you can refer to Sarah's press release where she says "while we disagree on some things..,"

Neither.

Endorsing someone doesn't mean you agree with them on every issue - it means you like them more than the other guy (similar to how many people vote).

Rand called her a giant.

is she just endorsing the winner? and could she really be changing? she has no love for the NYC banks, which must cause concern in Tel Aviv.

For those not here during the RP08 Campaign it should be mentioned that Palin come up on this forum long before McCain tapped her shoulder. There was talk at the time of it being a Paul/Palin ticket. Palin actually had to chang away from her leanings to conform to the McCain ticket.

What do you want him to call her? She just endorsed him. Regardless of what any of us think of her, she is held in high esteem by a lot of disgruntled Republicans. You know, the kind who would like Rand Paul.

Doesn't matter at this point.

This is about Rand and his campaign.

I don't mind him calling her a giant, and the endorsement is a positive. But is it strange bedfellows, or is there a chance Palin (and/or Steve Forbes) could become real (Taft/Goldwater) Republicans?

I have mixed feelings about Palin. I can't decide who is the real Palin.

I wouldn't hold my breath, if I were you.

An endorsement like this tells people who support Palin and agree with Rand on on 80-90% of issues that it is okay to vote for Rand. It's a good thing, and gets Rand their support without having to compromise on the 10-20% of issues they don't fully agree on.

but that 10-20% is what separates Rand from the establishment candidate. most Republicans want lower taxes, are against Obamacare etc.

but finding the antiwar , anti-patriot act Republican is the challenge.

is the Tea party movement libertarian or neo-con?

Who cares, so long as they vote for the libertarian? Which this endorsement encourages them to do. This isn't about finding purely libertarian candidates, it's about wooing not purely libertarian voters to the candidate we already have.

I'm sorry, but that was the last endorsement he needed at the moment...
