I 100% agree. I was a fan starting in 1988, because he stood for what RP stands for. What killed it for me was his saying on many occasions, "Trust me folks, I know George (W) Bush and he's a conservative."You may think it's unreasonable to put so much blame on one person, but I think I feel most betrayed by Rush Limbaugh. .
George W. Bush.
He swore an oath to defend our constitution.
Traitor.

Rush's days are numbered though. Just a few months ago he bragged that he could sway enough voters to pick the rep. presidential candidate-- which he did in 2000 for W, but this time he's lost so much credibility, the louse can't get his boss Romney elected. (Even my folks are waking up.)
I feel bad for him. He really could of made his life worth something, but he sold his soul to the devil. (I almost mean that literally too.)
The same goes for Beck, Boortz, Hannity, etc. Basically I blame the so-called "conservative media."
follow the bloody constitution
You may think it's unreasonable to put so much blame on one person, but I think I feel most betrayed by Rush Limbaugh. Here's why:
- Unlike most of the media, Limbaugh is free to say whatever he wants. He's taken and survived plenty of risks throughout his career, so I don't accept any notion that his hands were tied.
- Limbaugh has always accused liberals of being afraid to compete in the arena of ideas. Yet, it is Ron Paul's "liberal" positions that Rush is obviously most afraid of.
- Limbaugh has always argued that Conservatism wins every time it's tried. Well, the Republicans are a longshot to win this election and none of their candidates is more conservative than Ron Paul.
- Limbaugh has been preaching for years about the Constitution, limited government, individual responsibility, and national sovereignty. Ron Paul has solidly defended those same ideals in Congress for over 20 years without wavering at any time.
- Limbaugh proudly boasts of being "America's Truth Detector". I can't recall a single politician in my lifetime that has been more truthful than Ron Paul. Even his opponents have refused to question his integrity.
Rush Limbaugh has no obligation to support Ron Paul's candidacy, but I personally feel that Limbaugh does have an obligation to live up to his reputation of espousing true conservative values. He has allowed and conducted frequent discussions of every candidate but Ron Paul. His complicity in censoring Ron Paul will not only deal a major blow to the Republican Party, but likely to the nation as well.
Rush Limbaugh has enjoyed a very prosperous and fulfilling career as the most prominent conservative voice in the country. Millions of people trust him.
To whom much is given, much is required.
