Which State has the most Liberty Lovers?

New Jersey.

New Hampshire, from what I know, has the largest population of libertarians per capita, if I had to guess. Thanks in part to the Free State Project.

And, after New Hampshire, this Free State Project really needs to hit up another state, take it one at a time.

Texas! We have no state income tax and we need to dilute the neocons. Please.

Obviously NH. Romney benefited from the "home field advantage" but on a state level the state house consists of 30%+ of republican-libertarians which is enough of a block to prevent anti-liberty bills and almost enough to start getting some laws repealed. They actually cut spending 11% last year and have been giving the finger to the feds regarding them bribing the state with millions of dollars to institute a seat belt law. It's also got the lowest number of bureaucrats per capita. I could go on and on. Unfortunately for me, law enforcement isn't very needed over there.

New Hampshire!

Check out the number of "Free Staters"(12-14) that are elected to the statehouse. What other state has elected Liberty Activists to its general assembly? That's not counting the additional 29 representatives whom support the FSP idea. Come to NH and meet us at PorcFest 2012. Last year at PorcFest, I believe there was almost a dozen (correct me on the count if need be) state representatives who were there. How many have shown at other state liberty events? If you are eager to help, come to NH. What's bigger than Ron Paul? It's his message! New Hampshire not only "gets it", we live it daily.

We are in Pennsylvania currently. We love the mountains. my work would love if i moved more west. California is to expensive. my wife's family lives in Winnipeg CA.

I used to think that before I moved here, you can also earn more here to; I moved from Harrisburg, Pa. This isn't really a liberty loving state though...but it sure is beautiful and it is not expensive everywhere. If you like mountains, Ca has got plenty of them, and 80% of the gold is still in them, I found an almost 2 oz. piece just walking through the woods last week.

Moving in a year, Looking for a Ron Paul friendly state! After watching the Nevada Convention yesterday Nevada looks promising! :D

NH, of course!

More than 1 in 25 people in the state voted for ron paul in the R primary -- that includes kids, democrats, etc. No other state comes close. Most are well under 1%.

I am Thinking to move to Austin...but the pay is less then east coast...I am tired of NJ on the other hand...how are networking jobs in Austin?

how did New Hampshire's voting go? didn't the majority of the delegates go to Obomeny?

It's a primary state, so the delegates are awarded proportionally (no caucus) -- Paul got second with 23%, which is even more outstanding when you consider that turnout was 45.4% -- far higher than any other state. This is not a state where a few thousand activists show up and control the result. Paul got over 56,800 votes in a state that only has 1.3M residents.

There is no sales tax or income tax in NH, and we just cut the budget by 12% last year (yes, a real cut, not a decrease in the increase).

Come to porcfest, and see what you think =) http://happyporcupine.info/

Virginia has a fair claim, what with our >40% turnout for Paul, and our weather is nicer than any of those other places.

It would be nice if they teased out murderers, rapists, and robbers from those stats. Seperate victim vs victimless criminals...

Another state that is starting to become more Ron paul friendly is my home state of virginia we still have a long way to go but are definitely making progress in the liberty movement.

In New Hampshire are the FSP people spread all over the state?

Yes, like like the other liberty folks in NH. FSPers tend to mimic the rest of the population. The population in NH is concentrated in the Merrimack River Valley and the Seacoast. The same is true for FSPers. So lots of FSPers live in and around the Merrimack Valley cities of Nashua, Manchester and Concord. Lots of FSPers live near the Seacoast/ocean towns of Rochester, Dover and Portsmouth. The are plenty of FSPers in other parts of the state such as the Monadnock Valley where Keene is located.

However, there is one large, noticeable difference where the FSP movers tend to not at all mimic the rest of the population. There are only around 1300 people in Grafton, NH and the population isn't growing. However, the number of FSPers in the area continues to grow. FSPers are well liked in the area (as it has been one of the more pro-liberty parts of the US for years) and frequently win elections there. What's happening in Grafton is a beautiful thing and I look forward to the day where someone similar happens to another community in the US. Currently, there are 10,000s of communities in the US but only 1 of those communities is changing in such a positive way as far as I know.

I recommend checking out Porcfest this year. It is a week long event and an interesting introduction to the FSP. http://happyporcupine.info/

If you are interested in checking out Grafton, Burning Porcupine is free and happens for a week, right after Porcfest. http://burningporcupine.org/
