How to use the Ignore Feature

The "Ignore" function is more prominently displayed on other forums. It is not only directly handy for removing ALL of the posts by specifc individuals from you own personal veiw when used by a large number of individuals it allows discussions to remain on topic and unimpeded by off topic posts of those who choose hijack as a rule.

Eventually these types of individuals tend to go away if ignored.

Here is how you use the "IGNORE" function..

Step 1. Sign in to the forum.

Step 2. Above the "member galleries" line of pictures there is a line that consists of User CP Users Gallery FAQ (etc). Left click on "User CP" and the click on "User Control Panel"

Step 3. This will provide a menu headed "Control Panel". Scroll down that to "Miscellaneous" and left click on "Buddy/Ignore Lists".

Step 4. This will open a box with two input bxes. The top one is your "buddy list"..and the lower one is the "IGNORE list" To add a user to the IGNORE list, enter their name in the empty boxes for that list and click 'Save List'.

Step 5...Post and read without even seeing the posts of those you place on your ignore list.

If the posts of any forum member have just gotten too darn repetitive, contentious, or boring to even look at any more this is the Forum Feature for you.

I suspect that a few of the first posts in this discussion will be those individuals who would probably be happier if they put ME on their ignore list and frankly...that would be fine with me. Sometimes the only way for individuals with very diferent philosophys to coexist peacefully is to ignore each other. Its with this in mind the feature was created..and I ma providing the how to manual for using it.

BTW this just kills trolls.
And it allows those who want ot engage in discussions without trolls disrupting them to do so in 4 easy steps.
