Where the hell is the blimp going?

If Ron Paul does not win in either Iowa or NH then the campaign is NOT dead, but our chances of winning go down TREMENDOUSLY.

Do you mind if I ask how much you have paid towards the project?

If you consider each dollar paid as a share in the project, there are about 275,000 shares outstanding and you only get to vote with your own if you have any.

I can understand what you are thinking, having been in a similar place a few days ago.

I must try to explain something to you. You are trying to use reason with some people who are not susceptible to reason. It is an impossible task. Give it up.

Trust me, these people are totally immune to logic. They will keep coming, plowing over the terrain like the zombies in Night of the Living Dead, repeating the same complaints and inane suggestions over and over. They will not stop.

The only solution is to put them on your ignore list. It is my suggestion that you make just one public pronouncement when you do so, so that you can lend strength to others. But after that, you must foreswear responding to them in any way. Above all do not succumb to morbid curiosity and remove them, even temporarily, from your ignore list. You must bravely practice Zen-like self-discipline.

I think that after you have put anyone who you believe to be an intentional disruptor, or simply just nuts, on your ignore list you will find yourself much more serene and free to engage in productive discussion with the rational contributors on the board. I have found this to be true. It is very liberating!

Remember, the freedom of association implies the right of an individual to disassociate himself from those he finds objectionable.

How long do genuine Ron Paul supporters have to be subjected to this endless crap?

I have always defended free and un-impeded discourse and debate on this forum. The continual and flagrant abuse of 1 or 2 of our members has far exceeded the perameters of civility and constructive discussion and is making a mockery of this cherished priviledge.

It goes against all my instincts, and it is with regret, that I ask you to consider a punitive course of action.

For what? Asking where a floating balloon worth 200k is heading? This blimp was meant to be at the Tea Party.

You think only "genuine" Ron Paul supporters would not question this? Get bent.

I respectfully disagree. It is not easy to kill a grassroots monster that is gaining strength. You can throw conventional wisdom out the window. Do not let the enemy trick you into false benchmarks for success. We need to just keep gaining support and let people know that we are not going to quit! I expect Dr. Paul will not have to spend much time thinking about quitting during this succesful campaign.

I would fly the blimp up and down the coast not ignoring later primary states as they can be a great boost for fundraising for the campaign as well as for the blimp. It should help energize the grass roots wherever it goes.

No, my comments have nothing to do with the type, relevancy, or negative/positive nature of the comments of Menthol Patch and his questionable cohort(s), but rather to the repetetive and endless obsessiveness of them which do not encourage debate and constructiveness. What occurs is the destruction of useful threads and frustration amongst other members.

Read the writings of Menthol Patch for the past few days. Dozens of posts saying virtually the same thing is inane and a selfish use of the forum.

It's Menthol Patch....he has a few accounts with few posts, all of which are on my ignore list....some even have conversations with each other....very sad. :(

Don't feed the trolls. Use the ignore list......please. I don't have to all of his posts...but when you quote the rubbish...we all do.
