What's Going on at the Bundy Ranch?

Looks like heavy censorship is happening on the OK FB page...

  • Kahlie Currier This is really turning into some childish games. Feels like a secret club made up and the leaders like to play the games and expect everyone to follow like excited children. Who else is done with the leaders of this group? We dont need them we will still be oath keepers I say we make a new page and regroup because looks like this page could disappear of the map like a lot of their posts and followers posts do

  • Jason Blomgren At this point I'm kinda thinking.. It might be feasible to have rhoads stand down / be replaced... So that both keepers can save face- maybe just maybe OK could pull out of this

  • Proscriptio Jarzabek Divide and conquer. The powers that be already infiltrated years ago. Seeing as how this ranch fiasco would have been a tipping point in American progress, they must have enacted a few of their plans to disinform, discredit and dismantle the OK's.

  • Kahlie Currier Well it would help if ok could clear it up as they keep promising not just censor our comments without replying

  • Proscriptio Jarzabek Too late for all that unfortunately. Look at all the division between us all and the response of higher. A house divided cannot stand. Especially one that doesn't even acknowledge it's own people.

  • Proscriptio Jarzabek That's EXACTLY why this is going on now. The powers that be FEAR that power FEAR these good people. They wouldn't sit idly by while good people with America's best interest in their minds change our government for the better. Many of those politicians would lose money and power.

Frankly I don't blame them for deleting the comments off a very public Facebook page. I mean unless I knew those commenters I wouldn't be inclined to respond to them.

True, but it is just making people upset with them, as is their lack of response (so far).

Not sure about the Facebook comments, but we are working now on uploading a video response. It is taking much longer then I expected (I wish I would have gotten a copy of this video last night - then it would have been up last night) however, we are working on it. I will place a link here at RPF as soon as I have one.

Realistically, unless you have a mole feeding you intel, how are you going to know if a drone strike is coming in order to relocate? And, in the open desert, how does one hide from satellites or surveillance drones? And what if your electronics are wiped out moments beforehand?

Is there any reason a water truck could not be parked at the ranch and rationed showers available on a schedule? It sounds to me as though a lot of people came there quite unprepared. Were I going, I would have brought the kit from my (small) boat, which includes my solar shower and basically everything I need to live for at least a couple weeks at a time. Water could be filtered from the river, as a last resort.

Prepparedness. Ah yes something that should a be hallmark of a minuteman. Hell, even baby wipe showers are gtg. Most people don't know what misery really is. These people probably are not really preppers, nor warfighters.

LOL

I dug more than my share in the Army. An E-Tool is a handy thing. Can provide you a place to sleep in relative safety, and makes one nasty mark in hand to hand.

Dude, one dream ever since I was a boot...was to get an E-tool kill. LOL. Man, I am totally gonna put that on my flak...I can't wait to see my boot LT lose it over that.

LOL no, they really aren't, but nothing will make you piss and cuss faster than trying to dig a fighting hole on the side of a semi-dormant volcano at Pohakuloa Hawaii in the snow. Trying to picture the crack/whistle of rounds coming downrange while trying to break through chunks of old lava flow...

Problem with a fighting hole is you can't maneuver one, so once you are zeroed, you had best venture out and find alternate cover if you can.

Man at ITX (formally KAX) we had to dig in a crap ton...I swear at one spot after digging about 2 or 3 feet down the ground got so hard that it took an hour to dig down an inch. Company Gunns blasted us for that too....Granted I didn't dig anymore during my firewatch instead opting to play with an AN/PAS-28 thermal optic. Sooooo cool! I want thermal for myself now.

It is interesting that James Yeager and Hoss USMC have been out there, but they seem to be there as much to make videos as anything.

He's really not, but I wasn't bringing it up. You spread out enough to make drone strikes really expensive, but retain a layered defense in depth, or if the threat is bad enough void the target altogether and meet at a rally point. As to bunkering, 5 direct hellfire strikes may not equal a bunker buster, but anything you can build without heavy Earth-movers and a week's notice is toast. Fortify just enough to safe from the initial explosion and any shrapnel from it, and spread out so there is 100yd between posts, and then 30yd back, another line of posts 100yd apart. Say 4-8 rovers to watch the line and plug holes. Set up 4 roving sentries to cover 90° each, requiring them to met on their end-points, wait on the other guy until he gets there and if he doesn't get there raise a minor alarm.

Not the best, really. A 3GW solution in a 4GW world, but not quite as bad as the Maginot line. :p Maintain full layered defenses while a hellfire can only ever kill 1 guy, and it's easy to plug the hole. You just have to have people who understand fields of fire.

From the perspective of someone who's never been a soldier, I'd run like hell away if I thought missiles were incoming. And live to fight against something I have a chance against. If there was a drone strike on Bundy ranch (which I doubt was ever an option), the battle would no longer be just the Bundy ranch.

I like both Hoss and Yaeger. BTW Tod you just outed yourself as a prepper by even just knowing of them. Reported. Prepare to be visited. lol.

Understandable.. But many there,,and myself included have had military training,,if not actual combat.
And without combat,, there was still live fire training. (live rounds going off near you)

And most should be familiar (and not Fearful) of the ordinance used.

including the Hellfire Missile.

Now I would not want to be targeted by one.. but I would not be concerned by one 100 feet away from me.It is a highly directional explosive,, A shape charge (f or those that understand that). It is designed to punch a small hole in a Tank.. the size of a quarter through 20 inches of steel. Highly directional.

Now how many does a drone carry? Not too many. And I have seen pics of the Bundy ranch,, and it is quite a lot bigger than my farm.

They would make a mess where they hit.. but there is a lot of area that they won't hit.

It ain't a damn nuke.

do you mean to tell us that, with all the years we have spent in war, that the US gov't doesn't have a more effective way of dealing with dispersed combatants?

Oh we have plenty of ways, if you want to get into actual bombs dropped by bombers.

There are numerous variants of the Hellfire missile. Some, (AGM-114M Hellfire II, AGM-114R Hellfire II) which is what I'd assume they use in certain instances, are designed to rip off arms and spew shrapnel over large areas.

You would not want to 'catch' a piece of that.

In any case, they aren't going to use a drone strike on that area.

Still uploading video of OK's response... going very slow due to mobile internet connection (GRRR).

Here is a link to an article just released on OK's website:

http://oathkeepers.org/oath/2014/04/29/bundy-ranch-advisory-for-april-29-2014/

Thanks for that.. I see they are still disrespecting the militia who was there long before the Oath Keepers even mentioned the Ranch let alone showed up (after the standoff)

And Ryan Payne was one of the first.. And his name is mentioned in every early call that went out.

I read through that response. I am highly disappointed.
He was one of the KEY organizers that had militia there in the first place.

Yup,, Carpet bombs, Cluster Bombs, Napalm.. And of course strafing runs by Ground support aircraft.

Those all take a real pilot to drop it.. and can take fire from guns on the ground. I have no idea how many .50 cal Barretts are still there.
But they will punch through cockpit glass.

"FRED, YOU CAN'T BOMB ARIZONA."

"WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? MY BOMBERS CAN HIT ANYPLACE ON THE FACE OF THIS GLOBE!"

"BUT ARIZONA IS PART OF THE UNITED STATES."

"A LITTLE LOW-LEVEL STRAFING PERHAPS, HUH?"

"SORRY, FRED."

It sounds like you don't think it is possible he is a plant who knew what the BLM was going to do and consequently helped "set up" the situation, kind of like the FBI does all the time? (I've never heard of the guy before; I'm just going by the way he was working to divide the movement at that meeting)

I appreciate and respect your opinion Pete, and by no means do I think OK is a perfect organization. Stewart is human and mistakes can be made... however I have known Stewart since 2007 (where we meet during the RP campaign here in Las Vegas) and I have the utmost respect for him. How many different times has he proven to be a true patriot? Remember baby Cheyenne and all the shit OK took for that in the beginning? How about Jose Guerena, or the incident in Quartzsite? He did go against my advice (and the advice of other OK advisers) to announce the potential drone strike, but what the hell do I know? I've never been in the military or police (I am a citizen member) and I cannot imagine walking in Stewart's shoes. He announced that he thought this was unlikely, but he was NOT going to take a chance with the lives of innocent people (especially women and children) there at the ranch. I respect his decision.

Maybe you can answer this for me Pete: It the feds where to try to infiltrate the militia and supporters... would they not try to take charge of the militia, just as Ryan Payne has done? Then would they do their best to try to discredit a legitimate organization such as Oath Keepers? I have seen this Payne dude out there and from the beginning there was something about him I just didn't trust... and now he makes statements suggesting Stewart should be shot in the back as a traitor? He threatened physical violence to any oath keeper that supports Stewart. Then he somewhat backed off of those statements, but it is obvious to me he is trying to discredit Stewart and cause division amongst the supporters out there (kind of like collins does here, lol). I stand with Stewart because I know and trust him and he has a proven track record of being a patriot. Ryan Payne can kiss my ass.

Bingo!!!

I guess people don't remember what happened to the massively dug in 500,000 man, combat hardened, Iraqi army in Kuwait during Desert storm.
Our maintenance building was a 5 foot reinforced concrete aircraft hanger. There was one 6 inch hole in through the 5 feet of concrete. Curiously all the broken rebar pointed out....
