What Will Tom And Lew Say About The Debate?

I see the newsletters are a commonly used tool to dismiss the substance of what Lew has to say. What is so horrible in the newsletters that it warrants all the strawmanning and other foolish attacks? Interesting how y'all play the looney left's game of shouting "RACIST!" to shut people up...

That one where he said, "what do you call a ****** on a bike?" was pretty bad.
But seriously, go ahead and spend your time defending those newsletters, have at it.

 Silly r3v post +1. Ya ought to tell RP that, as he reads LRC daily-and is a long-time trusted friend and colleague with Lew. Dat RP must be stoopid!

Ron also hangs with Walter Block, who I consider a block head. I understand why Ron Keeps their company, but I don't hold them in the same regard as Ron.

In a similar vein, it should always be remembered that they, unlike Ron (or Rand), have no responsibility.

They can say what they like without losing the next election.

Even if you agree with them 100%, Shirley, you must realize that they could never get elected talking the way they do.

...and to attack those seeking election (to advance our cause) for not talking similarly is incredible...stupid doesn't do it justice.

What's wrong with Walter? Aside from his defense of abortion, I can't think of any Thoughtcrimes he's committed from a libertarian POV. (btw, Believe it or not, the quite glowing commentary to "Defending The Undefendable"-in the first section of the book- is by none other than F.A. Hayek!)

He took his umgrbrgbr, ahem, position and inserted it in a entirely inappropriate venue. I guess I never really have taken him seriously since.

Speaking like RP (telling the truth about controversial matters) will never get a person elected either. Politics has nothing to do with "right"-only the "feels" of the electorate.

I don't think that's an accurate assessment. Lew's always been fond of RP's campaigns for bringing light to stuff like the FED and the illegal wars. (ETA: Lew even maintains a Ron Paul archive on LRC of all RP's articles) Calling it "stupid" isn't an argument. ;)

Ron had an ability that is extremely rare, people should not forget that.

I'm as much against political correctness as anybody, but I do truly believe Lew Rockwell is a racist in his heart.

Yup, nor should it be forgotten that he lost twice (or thrice if you want to count the LP).

...and there's a reason for that.

...and no, to preempt the smartasses, voting harder ain't the solution.

..we haven't quite found the recipe yet, but it definitely involves more than a dash of Rand, while striking Lew entirely.

Yes, he lost. But I don't think his effort was in vain. And yes I know Rand isn't Ron, but look at the reaction he gets when he sounds like him.

You mean marginalization and insults from GOPers in debate audiences and media-and lots of primary voters that he needs to appeal to, supposedly?

Me neither, not at all.

None of us would be here in the midst of...

...dare I say it?

R3volution V.3.0

...were it not for Ron

Yup, wrangling some of those cats

It's an old Entish curse word...:)

I too sometimes go out into my yard and yell obscenities at the trees.

...always makes me feel better.

...or that might be the whiskey, hard to say.

Not gonna happen till RP is out of politics for good.

No, he jumped in the polls and there was excitement created. He needs to remember who his base is and forget about being too smart about playing politics. Hopefully he's got it now.
