What is your opinion of George W Bush now that he's been out of office for a few years?

I'll just say I wish he had lived up to his campaign promises from the 2000 election cycle; but he didnt.

I think Bush more of less ushered in the police state whereas Obama has merely continued it. Although, Obama has been worse (at least in rhetoric) on fiscal issues.

I have a slightly lesser view of Bush now that I've seen Perry speak. I didn't think Bush could be beaten, but Perry's tearing it up on Comedy Central.

Pretty much everything Obama does reminds me of Bush, since Bush laid the groundwork of powers that this administration enjoys oppressing people with.

So no, it hasn't changed. It's a nagging, constant reminder that won't go away.

Obama is far worse. He has managed to multiply the national debt at triple the rate Bush did, advocates raising taxes, has only escalated Bush's wars, and managed to do it all by completely silencing the anti-war movement.

At least Bush cut taxes for everyone. I can't find a single positive thing that has come out of the Obama Administration. Not a single thing.

Bush was horrible, but at least he let the AWB sunset and he was forced to appoint 2 quality justices like Roberts and Alito.
