So last night I went to bed and I was thinking about Ron's debate performance - I think that he owned the high point of the entire night and had previously felt like the booing on the "golden rule" was the low point. I was so glad he got that comment in, but felt bad about the audience response. I also had complained on the forum a bit about Ron wandering a bit on the third question, which was a bit of a let-down after he nailed the second question so perfectly... but anyway, back to my point.
So I was laying there in bed....and I was thinking somewhere in some hotel room Ron Paul was probably also either lying in bed or thinking about how the debate went. And even though I doubt he lurks on the forums, I am pretty sure that he gets feedback on what is going on here from his aides. And I can;t help but wonder if he must get a bit dejected after getting kicked in the teeth all day by the media and his competition and then to get negative feedback from even his supporters.
Yes some of us have sacrificed a lot tot he cause both in time and money, and I understand the frustration when you feel that a point was not made with perfect clarity. But our sacrifices, for 99.99999% of us absolutely pale into inisignificance compared to what Ron Paul has sacrificed for the cause of liberty. 30 years of being pretty much mocked and often standing alone, all the while being right. Even looking at just the campaign, the grueling schedule of events he must keep up with, and always remaining cheerful and positive.
That brings me to what I think Ron Paul needs most - he needs our love. He needs our unwavering support. That is not to say we can't make suggestions and give constructive criticism. But we need to express that love. He needs to know that we have his back. He needs to know that we admire and appreciate all that he has done and continues to do. I think that if we give Ron what he needs from us - we will see his performance and this movement rise to a whole new level. I don;t mean to be coming across as a "care bear" but I truly feel that the millions of us focusing positively on Ron Paul will have not just a noticeable effect - I believe it will have an unstoppable and overwhelming effect.
So along with those checks, and those ideas, please remember Ron Paul THE MAN. Give him the best that you have to offer. If you are religious remember him in your prayers - again, not just for the sake of the country and the hopes that we hang on him - but also remember maybe to give thanks that we have him at this dark hour in our nation's history. If you are not religious, I still believe your positive thoughts or even just staying as positive as possible here on the forums can make a huge difference.
I think you all are the salt of the earth, it's a privilege associating with each of you.
