What effect would a PA win have?

With MO and TX, they do caucus for resolutions and selection of delegates. Whether the primary has any bearing, I'm not sure. You'd need to ask someone from MO or TX for clarification on that.
From what I understand, in MO all of the delegates are bound to vote for the winner of the the pimary under the "old" GOP's rules. This rule has already been overturned in many(some?) of the counties in MO by Ron Paul Republicans getting involved with the process. Next they have to go to the congressional district caucus, then the state caucus, and finally the RNC.

if I understand the system correctly, those folks are randomly drawn and given a order, and people tend to just cross off the first Xth of the ballot because they usually don't know who is for and don't care, so having a high draw is good.

Yep, you got it.

My uncle lives in PA Poconos area and he is a R supporter sicne he first an for president as LP. But my uncle doesnt vote... I tried to convince him, hes very political but refuses to vote. Great to see theres so much support though!

How can you people delude yourselves? Paul is NOT going to win the nomination. Period.

I dunno how people like you still don't realize HOW he can win. Do some research on the threads on this board, you'll get all the information you'll need. Until then, shut up.

I heard today that both Philadelphia and Pittsburgh received a couple of tons of supplies from HQ. I'm guessing radio and TV ads will kick in on April 12th and Paul's support is STRONG in that state!

What effect would a win have here?

none whatsoever. Ron Paul is irrelevant and is only a domain of a fringe lunatic underground counterculture of conspiracy theorists, tax dodgers and terrorist sympathizers...

... not to mention surrender monkeys and cut-and-runners, judging from this board ...

I'll shut up when McCain's up there giving his nomination acceptance speech in St. Louis.

Of course, you'll still be explaining to your mirror why Paul's going to get the nomination

I've been saying the same thing. I love Ron. He is what this country needs right now. But there is a reason why so many people have left the Forums. Because they have accepted the reality of the Primaries/Caucuses this year ... and that Ron has no chance of getting the nomination and he knows it ... and admits it himself.

I can't fault everyone else on here for wanting to keep the dream alive, being loyal, and what not, but his campaign was all Grassroots. Inexperienced Campaign Staff proved that they could not fight with the Big Boys and could not overcome the Media. That's a shame, really, and I sympathize with the Paul Campaign, but as stingy as everyone knows that Ron is with money ... if you want to play with the Big Dogs, you need experienced Campaign help to work the magic, overcome the Media, and get the coverage you need. Rand Paul is right. You are not going to receive any nomination without constant Media Coverage. You are not going to get an entire country to just tune out the Media. That's how they rely on their information, and nothing is going to change that, no matter what.

How many times do you have to post this and receive the same reply: Why are you still here?

I'm still here for a couple of reasons:

1) I still support Ron Paul and what he stands for (as you can tell by my 1,141 posts)

2) I think some of my fellow supporters need a wakeup call to reality that we aren't winning the nomination ... and we need to accept it.

3) I still enjoy discussing current events and politics.

4) I would like to see where Ron Paul supporters are going to go, AFTER they have accepted that he is not going to get the nomination. But in order for that to transpire ... #2 needs to transpire.

Now tell me why you are still here. Do you believe Ron has the slightest chance of winning the nomination? What exactly is your purpose and what are you trying to accomplish, exactly?

I have answered this about 5 different times in this thread. Maybe a larger font size will help get it through your thick skull. WE WANT TO GET AS MANY DELEGATES AS POSSIBLE AND WIN AS MANY CAUCUSES AS POSSIBLE, BECAUSE THIS IS HOW WE WILL BECOME A VIABLE FORCE WITHIN THE REPUBLICAN PARTY, REGARDLESS OF IF PAUL WINS OR LOSES. Get it? I have repeatedly said this yet you repeatedly ask what we hope to accomplish. You must have some type of learning disorder.

No where in this tread have we suggested that Ron Paul will win the nomination. This thread has been about winning caucuses and delegates on a local level to gain power in the GOP.

I think you need to accept the fact that, no matter how important you think your message is to us, you are wasting your time.

That is not the least bit logical. First you require me to accept your premise, then you impose on me a non sequitur. Why do I have to accept that Dr. Paul will not receive the nomination before I can do anything else? That would impose a six-month moratorium on my activities, until Sept. 1 has passed.

Now tell me why you are still here. Do you believe Ron has the slightest chance of winning the nomination? What exactly is your purpose and what are you trying to accomplish, exactly?

I'm here because I'm networking with people who love freedom, who are willing to fight for it, and who have the mettle and the belief in their ideas to be involved in the political process. The presidential campaign is only one face of that.

3. I Just recieved word that the campaign is cutting off funding to pa. I also hear they are closing the alexandria office 3 weeks before our primary. Thanks guys.

I talked to someone at HQ about this and while they did not know about specific funding of states, they did say they would be supporting upcoming states with supplies and such, depending on how viable they looked.

They also stated that if HQ was going to close at the beginning of April, that was news to them, and they did not think that was going to happen.

I think the quoted text is bad information.

I was also up in PA last week and was delighted to see LOTS and LOTS of Ron Paul signs as well as bumper stickers!

I think we will do pretty well there.

Ok, i hope you are right. I recieved this information from a source I though I could trust, but they might have spoken without knowing all the details.

What part of PA were you in? Here in the city of philadelphia it is Obama country. Obama literally has a group of people on almost every corner of every block in the entire city registering voters all day every day. Everyone has obama bumper stickers, shirt stickers, and buttons. It is truly disturbing how so many people can be conned and fall into groupthink so easily.

Welcome to the new "democracy", the fruit of 50 years of public schooling.

I think I will lower the Font size, as it isn't necessary.

You seem to remind me of that young boy who dreamed of being Superman when he grew up. The boy who wants to go out and save the world. LOL.

Good luck with your delegates, kid. They say the proof is in the pudding. Thus far, you have proven that you are nothing, but talk.

Sorry to crush your dreams. You have no idea how many people you need to "wake up" in this country, for what you would like to see occur. No idea. The numbers just don't sink in to your brain.

With that being said, I'll come back and visit in September, and see what progress you are making.
