Just a curious thread for those who don't mind saying what they carry, both CC and OC.
When I open carry, I carry my S&W 686 .357 Magnum revolver. This is my FAVORITE pistol, as it results in the most temporal cavity damage, is ungodly accurate, and absolutely cannot fail to fire. That, and something about having a full size .357 on your hip just seems to scream, "You really don't want to trade lead with me."
When I conceal carry, I carry two weapons. On my left hip inside my jeans, I carry my North American Arms 5 shot .22 magnum revolver. On my right hip, inside carry holster, I carry my Kimber Compact stainless .45 ACP.
Of course, my wife bounces between a Rossi .357 snub nose and my Kimber that she carries in the vehicle with her when she drives, so I don't conceal carry as much as open carry. Sometimes I will carry my Browning High Power 9mm when my Kimber is out roaming the country side with her, but usually just strap my S&W on.
My state is Alabama, open carry is legal from 18 years old and up. To carry concealed, as well as in your vehicle, you need a CCW permit. However, Alabama offers CCW permits anywhere from one year up to five years in validty.
So......whatcha' carry?
Edit:
And please, this is not a "what is the better carry pistol" thread. If you can use it, and it throws lead, it can kill, and is fine for carry.
