What are you listening to?

Got an hour and some headphones? Uninterrupted is best of course. I stumbled onto this one a month ago, really dug it, and then I find out it was actually noticed -weird- When does that ever happen?
"At War with the Mystics" won a 2006 Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical. The album was nominated for the Best Alternative Album Grammy. The 5.1 mix of the album was nominated for Best Surround Sound Album in 2008.

"You're turning into a poor man's Donald Trump..." From Free Radicals lol
Be warned, it is The Flaming Lips and there is a chance of blowing your mind, fun stuff!

It's cool when you're forty-plus and you're still discovering some of your favorite albums. :) Atta boy Wayne and Co.! And ya know, I really dig the album art too.

I cannot say I am a fan of Beirut, most of their stuff makes me think of a much better version of Coldplay, whose music is mostly insipid to my ears with the exception of "Clocks", but this I like quite a lot:

I've liked disturbed since I was younger, but I never realized they had an anti-government mentality. I stumbled upon this music video of a song on their new album and have been playing it very often.

"Weird Brad" here. I hear that Bernie Sanders has adopted Simon and Garfunkel's "America" for his latest campaign ad. Which to my mind is a waste of a perfectly good song. But if he's going to use it, he should at least update the lyrics...

Elect me to office,
we'll pilfer some fortunes together.
Rich folks have money
that you and I want.

So we'll raise a bunch of taxes here,
And redistribute that,
We all want
to purloin America...

LOL Nicely done! Now I'll be singing those lyrics when I hear it.
