I've been on a real Aaron Copland kick lately.

Even if you don't recognize the name, chances are good that you've heard his music before, due to his status as one of the only prominent American classical composers.

Yeah, I feel like a bit of a tool listening to his music, since he was a strident leftist with Communist sympathies who wrote the Fanfare for the Common Man as a salute to FDR. But I also love the music of Stravinsky and Wagner, who also had pretty f***ed up politics, being a fascist and a proto-Nazi, respectively.
